Administrators Arcade King Posted November 3, 2007 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2007 Got bored today so I decided to scan and vector my Berzerk CP. I have 2 control panels here one badly rusted the other is acceptable but had extra drill holes all over the place for various joysticks. I had to scan the CP in 3 parts join them together then go from there. Decided to redo the fonts etc. Did I miss something?

DKong
The berzek I remember from the Arcade in the early eighties down here had a really big joystick {(15cm - 20cm)I know this sounds weird} it was very unusual from other games. Did anyone else come across this? I'm sure this was the original Berzek stick.:unsure
Administrators Arcade King Posted November 4, 2007 Author Administrators Share Posted November 4, 2007 hey trav when i had a few berserks earlier in the year xygt mentioned he had a NOS overlay at the time for grabs not sure if anyone bought it nice work Sweet will throw him a PM, I just made this because I wasnt satisfied with the CP's I've got, Like I said the one I took the scan of will get me out of trouble until I can get a new one printed. Nice one ;) I've only used AI for vector stuffs, what software did you use? AI :) This is only the second thing I've tried to vector, first was the side sticker with the neo geo logo from the LAI machines. Sort of had to relearn while i was doing this but i have to admit its fun and very self gratifying. The berzek I remember from the Arcade in the early eighties down here had a really big joystick {(15cm - 20cm)I know this sounds weird} it was very unusual from other games. Did anyone else come across this? I'm sure this was the original Berzek stick.:unsure Dunno mate but Woka TARG had a massive ball on his joystick MASSIVE!!! I'd like to do my 6 neo geo CP next, not sure how I would go about scanning it though, pretty awkward CP and much bigger than the Berzerk one. I'm also chasing the Berzerk marquee art if anybody has it, I have the original here off the cab which is about 95% good. Problem is theres some scratches which you can see right through and when I put a light behind it will stand out like dogs balls.

Any chance I could grab this from you? I'd like to replace the stickers on my LAI Neo Geo :) I'd like to do my 6 neo geo CP next, not sure how I would go about scanning it though, pretty awkward CP and much bigger than the Berzerk one. Did you ever have a crack at this? I need to create a new CPO for my Neo as the peeling and cracking is getting to me :x

Hmm I've been thinking a bit about the problem (e.g. cab sides etc). I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking about trying to use a digital camera and some panoramic stitching software, taking multiple shots. I'm sure theres free stitching software out there. May work OK, as the software usually does perspective correction and stuff too... Just a thought
