hubby is studying at uni and because he's 1.5 units short for austudy he has to be on newstart, theres a way of approving his activity of studying because he's way too busy for all the crap but none of the centrelink or job network wankers know how to do it, they just refer to someone else

this has nothing to do with wanting more money, its about trying to study and get ahead in life while being expected to meet the same obligations as a deadbeat sitting on his ass doing nothing all day, how is he supposed to do work for the dole and a science degree and be expected to pass??

ok i think you misinterpreted my intentions here, what i am looking for in regards to this book is the sources of the code of practice associated with centrelink in a bibliography or such, identification of the chain of command, from a non centrelink point of view

this is what centrelink says about study taken straight from the mutual obligation section of their website

"Part-time study in an approved education or training course: you must have:

For short courses (less than 16 weeks), 12 hours course contact a fortnight for the entire course and participation in another activity to make up 150, 200 or 240 hours of activity, depending on your age.

For long courses (more than 16 weeks), 12 hours course contact a fortnight for the whole course (if less than one semester); or,12 hours course contact a fortnight for a full semester.

You must complete the unit of study.

You must complete the unit of study."

now my hubby meets this critera as he has over 40 hours of contact per fortnight, and he is actually there studying 40 hours a week. Centrelink can not find anyone who can approve their own rules.

they pass calls on and on and on,to someone else who can maybe help
