elvis
yay im getting one for my birthday where do i find games on the net and what file extension should they have on them Do me a favour, and buy the new ones. Old stuff that's not on sale any more, go nuts. But support the console's hope of getting new games by buying the latest releases. With that said, almost any torrent site on the planet has a million and one DC games. http://www.emuparadise.org is one, but there are dozens of others. Most games come down in .CDI format, which you can burn easily with a program called "Alcohol 120%".
cazanth1
trust me i will, i only get what i cant buy, i dont see the point of being a collector with pirated crap, its not really the same is it? i do love chasing second hand though, you appreciate something more if you work to find it

elvis
No reset button. Just power and open/eject. If you hit the open/eject button it will go to the DC BIOS. Just close the lid and press a button and it will fire up the game again. Although you will need to re-insert your DC-X import adaptor disk if you are playing an import. Self-boots will work straight up of course. Fucking great console. Just like the Saturn, it was HUGELY underrated in the west thanks entirely to Sega of America's complete fuckup. timothy2222
I just bought a dreamcast as well. One pal one $40.00 and a Jap NTSC one for $71.00. I am going to get a dreamcast adapter for my X arcade and I am all set. I cant wait till they arrive in the post and see what all the fuss is about. Since alot of the games are not available now I have been on a massive downloading spree 36 gb already this month.

elvis
Underground Gamer, Emuparadise, Pleasuredome. They all have buckets of older Dreamcast games. Some are even starting entire packs where you can download 40GB+ in one torrent.
timothy2222
Yeah all those and http://www.bthaven.com/index.php?cat=11 You have to be carefull because you have to upload as much as you download otherwise you will be banned. I always seem to download faster than i upload so you have to keep your ratio close to 1:1.
elvis
I always seem to download faster than i upload You need to forward a TCP port from your firewall to the machine you are using your bittorrent client on, and then tell your client to use that for communication to peers. That will speed your uploads up, and in turn speed your downloads up and keep your ratio's high.
timothy2222
Yeah my ports are open. On pleasuredome and underground gamer there are more seeds than peers so download speeds are faster.
elvis
Yeah my ports are open. If you're behind a NAT firewall you need to make sure the ports are open AND forwarded to your machine. Just opening them is not good enough.
