my first upright

bought my first every upright today. the owner powered 2 up one was working (low brightness) the other not working visibly but power was to the monitor. I bought the latter and the other the owner is putting on ebay. Got it home and plugged it in saw nothing but when i closed my shed door i could see it working. Yay for monitor brightness adjustment i guess after 20 odd years they would need adjusting

game is a poker GOODLUCK?. Cab is in pretty good shape really solid MDF and i got given a few spare bezels surrounds and a kick protector to replace the tape cause i was thinking of rewiring it to jamma but after getting inside im not its all in great shape with the pcb in mint condition and original wiring everything is perfect and the chassis is nice and clean (nano to boot  ). Why break it when it works. It has a $1 coinmech and you can bet x number of credits to win more credits. would be a easy way to chew money up

the monitor does make it look getto but im happy. The size is great also only 5 foot tall and just over a foot square

just the cosmetic work to do

the seller did say mame if dead but it works great so im keeping it the way it is. I was going to jamma it but when it fired up thought fuck that

ive never seen one before so was really intrigued and i have a small house so its perfect for me size wise. He has one more that he is putting on ebay so will be a interesting to watch

and the CP must be built to last back then each button has two microswitches :o

cost me $50 and came with some bezels to add but now im learing towards prof's repro's

thinking of iluminated the gap above the monitor with a custom bezel is it best to use a fluro or is there a better option. I can get original arcade fluros easily

i want to spice the cab up without going over extreme. Also is this a custom cab or original design? i cant find any serial plates or where one once was so i suspect the later due to the seller telling me his dad and him made custom cabs and bought parts seperate for some games. All the internals are professionally done and built to last (two micros on each button :o must of been designed to take a hammering)

it really stands out cause of its size and width

ill take some internal pics tonite
