OzStick
Go to a place that sells power boats - they have them there for a reasonable price.

Brumaz
another important part: Americans can buy a SmartStrip power board, that powers everything up once one unit is turned on. Is there anything like this available for our power points here in australia?
elvis
drink holders :D any ideas? Check places like Autobarn, Supercheap Auto, etc. Plenty of those places have various cup and drink holders, some of which even fold up when not in use (if you have kids that run around your cabs, this is a godsend). another important part: Americans can buy a SmartStrip power board, that powers everything up once one unit is turned on. Is there anything like this available for our power points here in australia? A "smartstrip" is basically just a multi-point power board with a power switch on it. I bought one of these: http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show.php?art_no=powBE4x_ho For a totally different purpose, but by sheer coincidence now have it inside one of my cabinets, and it is quite handy for powering everything up with the flick of a switch (at the top of the unit in that picture). But then again, so is the switch at the wall socket. :) If you are going MAME, your PC's BIOS should have an option that says something like "State After Power Fail" or something to that effect. If you set this to "on", the PC will power up by itself every time you power-off at the wall/smartstrip, and then power back on again, as it assumes the power being cut to the PC's power supply is a "failure", and boots the system next time without needing to press the power on button.
