GnR - how does it rate?

Hi folks, just wondering what your thoughts were on Guns n Roses compared to say a late model Bally/Williams. Price is similar and the GnR is a bit collectible so it may sway me in that direction but if the game is lousy, I won't bother. I have the chance to pick one up at a good price (but needs a bit of work + topper). What do ya reckon?

If its in Brisbane, I can inspect it for you and give you an indication on condition and price. Its a good game. but buy wise, parts like displays, targets, plastics, topper, rubbers, bulbs and coils could easily add an extra $1000 on to the price. This doesn't also include any service or repairs that may need to be done.

Thanks for that but it's in Adelaide. You're right in estimating another $1000 on top. That would put it in the same league as an Indiana or Twighlight Zone perhaps. Not so sure now. Cheers.

If you don't buy it I'm sure there are some here who would be interested.

I have one and reckon its a great game and I think that it is a game that can only appreciate in value over time. Only 3000 or so were ever produced.

i looked at one a few years ago that looked as if it had been tipped on its side, hooked up to a towbar and then dragged down the road.

One of the best games you can collect. Great game play, great soundtrack and a great looking machine.

This may sound really bizarre to some people but in terms of Data East, I prefer both Tales from the Crypt and Tommy over GnR.

I loved it when I first played it..WA about 8 years ago..but then I am a Gunner's fan (or was) and it was still fairly new..You would get big bucks down here for one..lots of fans and not much action..I found the dual ball release a bit of confusion as had never seen it on another game at the time..loved the roses on the ball shooter (is that right??) had a great time playing it from memory...yeah a good game !!

will probally go the way of KISS pinball totally overpriced but jeez it's KISS or in this case the "Gunners" a real collector for the fan....there is one down here that I know of that has been in private use from a Pin ..Video game tech head..been out of contact for a few years since I started fixing them myself might give him a buzz and get him on the forum and maybe find where this 1 in 3000 has gone...

You could be mine but your way out of line........:035: :035:
