He sure loves his hot glue... the end result is kinda good, but looking inside - what a nightmare. Don't know how long the buttons would last either, but they sure look a nifty size...

Cheers

That's sooo cool.. Damn you people tempting me now.. I gotta go look for some small screens..

It's a pity they didn't make up some tiny joysticks and smaller buttons to keep it all in the same scale..

He's most likely a bad solderer - so covers all his work in glue to protect (hide) joints.

or

In a google translated way "...his solders failed at life..."

He says "welding wires on pins 25, 26 and 27"

Could be interesting, is that a MIG .9 wire or an OXY job.

:)

Very cool items though.

Actually, he says "soldando cables en los pines 25, 26 y 27 como se ve en este enlace".

Soldando sound more like solder than weld to me. Auto translators aren't perfect!

I think they are very cool. As for the glue, I know my father in-law uses hot glue in a similar fashion to shock and water proof electronics, keeps the wires from moving around and working apart. Don't know how much shock those cabs are gonna get though.

Glue smoo, proof of concept. Make a proto, and if it's a good one, make it better and stronger :)

I have some really small arcade style buttons, (10mm round hole IIRC) and a small joystick, auto return and analog :)

Would suit somethign liket this....

I've been looking for some small buttons and sticks for a while but nothing has been small enough or looked authentic enough. Where'd you get yours and have you got any pics? Thanks.
