While we are on the music theme..

With the previous threads on music, they have been helpful for me to compile a list of music for my upcoming wedding.

Any other fav tracks that you would suggest that would go down well at a wedding ?

Looking for inspiration. :)

hey mate,

what have you got so far, and what style/kind of music are you looking at?

i've played at/been to prob about 200 weddings, so i might be able to help out

i'm guessing you're talking about reception music, not ceremony music??

anyways, what about: (i'll keep updating as i think of some)

Foo Fighters - Everlong

Red Hot Chili Peppers - I could die for you

Blink 182 - Josie (prob not right for a wedding - but hey, i love it lol)

The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony

No Doubt - Underneath it all

U2 - Beautiful Day

Van Morrison - have i told you lately (so soppy lol)

Muse - Unintended

champagne supernova - Oasis

One Crowded Hour - Augie March

Fire and rain sounds like a good choice until you listen to the lyrics. Songs about death always go down well at a wedding.

I have loved that song for years, and never actually thought about the fact that it is OBVIOUSLY about someone dying........... bizarre, i play it on the guitar and everything, so have had the lyrics in front of me many many times.........

wierd

Yeah ceremony stuff is sorted, well almost, I'd certainly look at other suggestions.

My music taste is quite varied but mostly alternative / metal / rock, I just need to provide the DJ with a list of "party" songs i guess that get people going...

A couple of your suggestions are already on the list. :)

Happens a lot - years and years ago Reagan used the Bruce Springsteen song "Born in the USA" as his rally theme song. I guess the committe only listened to the chorus
