Garwain
Have a Raiden 2 pcb that has been working fine, but now freezes after about 2 seconds on start up screen. Only sign of past repair (on otherwise very clean board) is one of the two CAPS on the board. Is there a simple solution??? Bear with me as this is my first post!! 0 Berty
Welcome to Aussie Arcade etc etc... I would measure your 5v line. Might be too low.
0 Hewitson
If your 5v is fine it may be worth recapping the board.

0 Garwain
Raiden2 5V supply OK and have re-capped board. Game plays for a while now(with only smart bombs working) but then freezes. Any ideas? Buy a new board? Cheers
0 Administrators Arcade King Posted January 31, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 31, 2009 yeah lock ups can be a tough one, I find its usually due to faulty ram or roms. An example is a game board running a few mins then sparkles forming in the graphics as the rams heat up. You could try lowering your voltage to say 4.5 or even lower to see if it runs longer. 0 Hewitson
Trace the A button back from the JAMMA edge and test all involved chips with a logic probe/multimeter.
