any pinballs/arcades on the Gold Coast?

I'm taking the family up to the Gold Coast very soon and doing all the theme park stuff for the kids and the shopping shit for the wife (as there are no shops in SA she reckons:unsure). So, I was thinking while I was there I check out some pinball/arcades and commercial sellers - are there any and where?

Also, what the best way to get around to all the theme parks and transfers to/from the airport (I was thinking of buying a Freedom bus pass)?

Is it worth going to the new water park (whitewater world) - or is wet and wild good enough?

Cheers

John.

There is a big timezone right on cavill (In the Paradise Centre - but I think they have renamed the centre now??).

A mate was there 2 weeks ago and they had a FG, Spiderman, WoF and Shrek.

Wet n Wild was pretty good when I went a few years ago. Havent been to the newer whitewater world...

Cheers

Yes, the old Time Zone on Cavaill Ave is worth while, meanwhile the mrs' can peruse the shops nearby. Wet and Wild should be enough I reckon, White Water World looks pretty small in comparison.

Are you planning a day trip to Brisbane..? If you do let us (Brissy boys) know and we could meet up somewhere..

Yeah i am going up to the Gold Coast as well from Oct 2nd Until October 10th,Would love to catch up with some AA members whilst there be it on the Gold Coast or even in Brissy.

Was there earlier this year,Whitewater World is not much.........Nice and new but Wet N Wild heaps better.

As for Arcade/Pinballs yeah Cavill Mall as everyone else has said on the top floor of the Paradise Centre and as for Commercial Traders you have

*Austral Amusements in Burleigh Heads (10 Mins from Surfers)

*The Pinball warehouse In Underwood (Between Surfers and Brisbane)

Hope this helps...;)

just got back from surfers paradise, only found a shrek and spiderman at timezone,

only played 1 game on the shrek, it was ok.

played a few games on a twilight zone at our accomodation, i enjoyed this game, didnt know what i was doing though.

played a game on Batman and indy and addams family at Melbourne airport,

they were ok as well.

would have to spend a small fortune on all these machines to find out if they are worth owning.

cheers Ian.

hey john, didnt you explain to the missus and kids that if you stayed home you could have another pinball in the shed instead?

surely more pinballs are more attractive than domestic bliss and happiness? :badgrin

have a bloody great time tho :D

I wish, man this trip is going to cost a fortune - but it the things I need to do so I can keep my addiction going.

Hopefully I can sneek out one night and check out some pins.:unsure

Yes you can...

I did....

After a day at one of the parks suggest taking the kids out bowling as a treat while the better half has a rest.

The neon bowling alley is not only fun it's right next door to the biggest Arcade on the coast, everyone has been mentioning to you..

I lucked it and got to go twice :)
