PRKLCD
Is funland down the south coast still open? I remember spending holidays down the coast and always wanted to spend all my time at funland.... ahh the good old days. I actually went in about 3 years ago and ALL the games are old school - heaps of LAI cabinets running final fight, SF2 etc. Hope it's still open Wonder if they will sell me a cabinet :rolleyes

catty
Funland at Ulladulla is still open. My grandmother and relos live at Ulladulla, and I lived at the place in the hols. My mother was down there last year and she went and had a look for me and said it was still there and looked like it did in the 70's.
Guest Wotto
Hay Catty, I think it's time that Nana took another walk- take a seat and sit back while I tell you that Funland has ( apparently ) been taken over and turned into a TimeZone !!! Being the millionare that I am , we have just booked a weeks holidays down at Ulladulla in a caravan park in October school holidays so I can confirm it after that BUT we get it on the "local" TV ads quite a bit and they advertise ALL NEW Timezone in Ulladulla and it sure looks like the old entrance to Funland ! It's a real shame because that dingy old dive was dead set the LAST "fun parlour" that resembled the days gone by, we used to take the kids in there a lot and it was cheap as shit, now it will be "token city" and your $$ will dissapear before you can say "whatthefuckhappenedtoulladullafunland" Wotto PS- on your next trip down drop that SI in to Dapto wont ya!:badgrin
catty
Noooooooooo. That sucks. Why do people fuck with things. That was probably why they stayed open so long because of the nostalgia.(maybe)
ZXR
This is one of the very first dedicated arcades I ever went into. Before that it was just the odd game at the local take away or caravan park. I was even talking to a mate about riding our motorbikes down there from Canberra some time in the next few weeks for something to do (plus the roads are great fun!!). Might still head down to see if they kept the old games (or if they're planning on selling any). Will keep you posted on what I find out. -ZXR
Sutekh
I went there around 2000 and played a Pac-Man original with no ball on the joystick for 20c, and - the best - a dedicated, excellent condition 4 player Gauntlet. Awesome. If that's turned into to a TimeZone, it will be stupid dance mats and drum games, just like George Street Sydney! DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION IS NOT AN ARCADE GAME. </rant>
