Haven't seen a post that refers to this so if there is please correct me.

How do you guys and gals deal with heat in your cabinet? Do you use extra fans? If so how are they connected up. Photos would be great if anyone has some?

i have 1 12cm 12volt fan in my cab. (its lai style cocktail scratch build). its on the base of the cab on 1 side (the opposite side of the pc). i also have airholes on both sides of my cab and can feel the fan push air through there.

1 fan should b enough i say :)

I only have the CPU fan in my cab, I haven't noticed any extra heat when the machine is running inside the cab. I have removed the case from the PC to allow extra air-flow, but I think it is just something you should monitor and if you notice a lot of heat building up inside the cab then extra fans will be required. I don't leave my cab running if I am not using it anyway.

I have 4 12V PC fans cooling my cocktail. It's overkill, but I run them all at 5V so it's silent.

Which is an utter waste since the cab lives outdoors :lol

One day the wife will let me bring it in... one day...

I have thought, with the PC inside the cabinet, leave the case on and run some ducting to a vent on the cabinet. So basically, all the heat from the PC goes straight out of the cabinet.

Other than that the monitor will get hot, but just have some vents in the top of the case above the monitor to let the air out.

That should work shouldnt it?
