I wished I lived in the U.S or had family there!! I tracked down a nos backglass and at the right price but the company will not ship to Australia?? I know it's glass but if packed really well it should last the trip....Shouldn't it??

Anyone got any ideas?? I thought of getting it shipped to a friend in the U.S to ship to me/but I have no friends there..

Peter..:unsure

it will set you back about US$100 for shipping

I had a glass shipped from the US (GTB Soccer - 1975 - took me two years to track down)

I can see why companies would refuse - there is so much that can go wrong

All the best - which glass is it?

yes it did arrive ok

however the glass was packed in cardboard between lots of scrunched newspaper - perhaps not the most sucre way to pack such glass but it arrived safely - now to finish the resto on the machine.

Last glass I had shipped (ebay win - Stateside) was smashed into tiny fragments.

Make sure the sender absolutely *knows* how to ship glass before you get it done Gorgar1. And get insurance for the whole amount, for the trip.

I'm tipping you're chasing down a Gorgar backglass? :lol

good luck

So out of the 3 recommended which one did you use in the end

Wayne helped me out with getting the glass over from the states which I thank him for-the NOS GORGAR glass cost me $250 and another $25 for a new lift rail and new side trim which all up I reckon is a great deal as just finding one took for ever.

I now just need to be patient and pray that it arrives in one peice-they are sending it in a special backglass box so all going well it will arrive in one peice.

I have attached some pic's of the glass.
