  2. Correct - if you download the Westfield app and register your car - you get 4hrs free parking. With no app only 2(or3) hrs free parking. Entering the carpark after 5:30pm is 100% free BUT BE WARNED ... if you plan to exit/re-enter to "game the system" you have to leave the carpark for a minimum of 15mins to reset the automated license plate recognition software. There is also a train station literally just across the road - you "should" be able to find a park there on weekends, but weekdays maybe not.

  3. Decided to book a horse riding get away in Noosa. She used to own a horse years ago. I've never ridden one, but how hard could it be 😄

  4. And one teardrop shape! I created these in Fusion 360. The first one was done using a sketch in the Z plane. Drew that side profile, then used the 'Revolve' tool to rotate it around the Z axis 360 degrees. The second one required the sketch to be done from the top, basically drew out the circle shapes as below, tangent lines to the circles. This was then extruded up by the 0.4mm to form the base. A new sketch was created at an offset of the 3mm of height and projected the circles from the hole and the 0.5mm radius top flat bit. Then the 'Loft' tool was used to join the top of the base (from 0.4mm) up to the circle at the top. When I did this, it filled in the hole, so I had to extrude (using the cut option this time) to cut it out. I learnt all of this a couple of years ago watching this guy on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo29kn3d9ziFUZGZ50VKvWA. I really want to move to FreeCAD too to get away from Fusion 360 (it's still free for non-commercial use - limit to having 10 files that you can edit at a time, but you can still save more, and turn on and off which ones you are currently editing). Autodesk have been stuffing around with their licensing, and I'm concerned that I'll lose access to it altogether one of these days. But I've learnt so many tricks in Fusion 360 that I need to try and relearn in FreeCAD... One of the great tricks I learnt was when doing sketches, lines will be blue when they aren't fully constrained. That means that there's something about their position that isn't locked in, and you can grab them and move them about freely - which isn't good when you're trying to make something precise!. Once you add in enough constraint (like specify a specific length, or that it is a horizontal line, or the line is tangential to a circle etc), it will go black, and you know it's locked in and good to go. As you can see in the second picture, I deleted a couple of the constraints to show what happens. I removed the tangent constraint from the top of the line between the two circles, and I removed the construction line I had added that constrained the distance between the centre of the circles to 39.5mm. This meant that the right circle and the top line are now free to move, and aren't precisely positioned. Adding those constraints in makes them precisely located and oriented. Saucer_Teardrop.stl

  5. Speaking of plating, the tin on molex connectors has a something like 20 time insertion rate, and then the tin plating is breached, well on a 40+ year old machine of unknown origin, Well just saying new pins to this Princess are a no brainer in either a restoration or a build...And wire, another custom made rabbit hole, some of that is no longer available if not strait up custom made traces, Reproduction special order I would consider flushing ypur money as it is usually sloppy at best...I do make my own wire reproduction traces on restorations, but on this particular machine thinking I may just use red wire...And lots of it.

  6. It's not hard to ride a horse, it's hard to ride a horse well 😄 Learn to post when trotting or your balls are going to be mashed 🙂

  7. Yep, a bit like the 8 cats I caught at my last house. They couldn't get back over the creek. But they had the Gateway 15 meters to one side of their release point and the rifle range 25 meters the other way. They didn't have a chance of making it home again. They were all given a chance thou. Bloody owners who don't look after animals. My pet hate.

  8. Beware of this App IMO I was advised to use this app last year and was lucky enough to sort a park outside. I have been told however that if you use this App you will also get lots of unwanted advertising from the Westfield franchise eg all the shops? Please remember the above words.... I WAS ADVISED BY OTHERS. I started to add the App and stopped b4 it was downloaded. I still can't get it off my phone???

  10. Look at him, in his little hammock 😄 So cute. We've got a pair of ringtails and brushtails that visit almost every night. Little bastards come into our kitchen through the cat door. We have to make sure we don't leave anything out, or it gets into it. We've woken up in the morning to find half a loaf of bread chewed into and strewn across the floor. The ringtails are little cute ones, the brush tail looks like it could take on a dog and win 😄

  11. Never rode bikes there but I did like testing the buggy there after we moved here. Pretty dangerous riding bikes there now. I was over the road testing something i just did on the buggy, no one around, come around a corner and the cops had the track blocked. thought I was in the shit but they seemed quite happy seeing my driver's license and checking out the buggy. They went on to say they were after unregisted bikes. They went on to say two riders crashed the week earlier over near Heathcote Road. Both no helmet, no shirt and thonges. Both travelling as fast as the machines would go and not slowing down at the cross tracks. ( there bush I guess), I suppose when two riders both have that same mentality in the bush it's only a matter of time aye. Tee bone. Killed one outright and the other doesn't know his own name any more.. Family of one of them tried sueing the council and that is why the cops were there they said.

  18. Great Video ! Brings back memories of when I used to wag school back in the 80's and jump on the train to the city with a mate. We used to hang out in the Pinny Parlors, then try to get back home to Lilydale when school was finishing... Fun times. Is that Mark 'Chopper' Reid at the start of this video?? (0.04 seconds) @baz Thanks for sharing!

  19. I was right next to the speakers when it did it to me. It then did it again upon start up. Reminded me of the jjp start up pops, makes you jump if you aren't ready for it. Finished painting and now just test fitting this guy, needs to be cut a little bit to fit under the glass and not impact the building mech. Might redo his eyes are they're a bit derpy. Eyes recolored and redid some of the colors to match the backglass more. Probably took longer cutting bits off to make it fit the mount than to paint it.

  20. Little Billy came home from school to see the families pet rooster dead in the front yard. Rigor mortis had set in and it was flat on its back with its legs in the air. When his Dad came home Billy said, "Dad our roosters dead and his legs are sticking in the air. Why are his legs sticking in the air?" His father thinking quickly said, "Son, that's so God can reach down from the clouds and lift the rooster straight up to heaven." "Gee Dad that's great," said little Billy. A few days later, when Dad came home from work, Billy rushed out to meet him yelling, "Dad, Dad we almost lost Mom today!" "What do you mean?" said Dad. "Well Dad, I got home from school early today and went up to your bedroom and there was Mom flat on her back with her legs in the air screaming, "Jesus I'm coming, I'm coming" If it hadn't of been for Uncle George holding her down we'd have lost her for sure!"

  21. I am actually kinda surprised nobody was even a little curious about a 25" Color vector in this day and age, Pehaps its just nobody ever reads these sub fourms anymore... I think I will go grab that tube today, (middle shelf, top right), and give it a test it for emissions.
