  1. Hey all! Another resto to make a start on and get half finished haha - not intentionally ๐Ÿ˜„ A good friend had come across a Scramble Arcade cab he was intending to restore, but unfortunately had to sell due to moving. I was lucky enough to snap that one up quick, and once again equally as surprised at the cab once I got to take a look at it. This is the Flyer for the game: And this is the cab as i picked it up!! It is a Scramble cab that is made by a company called Artic (Who by the above Flyer I found, operated out of Taiwan?) - All that was left was essentially a shell, the only remaining wiring was between the bottom of the cab and the Marquee lighting, not much else. Shame no original PCB i could begin to fault find & repair ๐Ÿ˜ž But the positives, not in too bad condition for a 40 year old cab if i do say so myself!! From the Flyer compared to the CP on the cab, the control panel was retrofit to a 2 Player 3 button setup (The opposite side of the Marquee was Cabal). On cleaning out the bottom of the cab there were no coins or anything this time - only a hand full of Wasp nests and hay ๐Ÿ˜„ . So literally a barn find originally? Side Art still looks quite intact and relatively undamaged - just character marks haha With almost all the external components I started on getting the cab working again. Not keen on having a non-functional cab, I set to work fitting in a spare CRT, new PSU, JAMMA wiring harness and of course a 60-in-1 as i had no Scramble PCB (and still don't for now). I picked up a separate 12VDC power supply and fit some new 12v lamps into the original holders. Fired em up and they look nice and bright and beautiful With a new Flouro tube and starter the marquee lighting was up and going again, a re-wire of the control panel and setup of the CRT... And we have a working cab again!! This is where we're at currently with the project, but i'll post some more photos as we progress. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more as i get some time to work on the cab!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Den

  5. $3k Located Cranbourne VIC. Original 4 player LAI TMNT. All fully working. Front door has a few scars on it, but otherwise a very staight and solid plywood cabinet. Original Konami 4 player PCB, original MCA joysticks, aftermarket player buttons, original LAI marquee, reproduction control panel overlay and coin slot surround, original monitor looks good with nice colour. Coin mech is set up for $1 per game. Control panel is removable for easier transport or getting through tight doorways. This is the first cab I ever bought, had it about 20 years ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

It had a good version of the page from last year with the email address for submitting the code dump. ๐Ÿ™‚ Super Space Invaders 91 (Majestic 12) US Region, complete with the "Don't do Drugs" screen and legal warning about US use only has been submitted!

  7. Yes mate, they generally price Angels at about $20-30NZ for very good copies. That is about the right price for a bricks and mortar shop that has to pay rent I reckon. Long way to go to buy a record but ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Since MGL50 is a very special event, I have created some MGL merchandise to commemorate this amazing milestone. It's taken 16 years to reach 50 tournaments, and all gamers that have ever played in the MGL are welcome to join this historic occasion. If you would like to purchase any of the items above, please make a post in this thread with what you would like (eg 1 x MGL50 Gamer's Kit and 1 x Sinistar Blue Shirt XL). I will then contact you with the payment details by PM, and after your payment is received, the goods will be ordered and shipped to your address. Please note the above prices include shipping world wide, and are close to cost price. Shipping world wide is OK to countries like Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, UK and USA, but not all countries. When you post your request in this thread, I will check if your country is OK, and I'll let you know via PM. If you have any questions, please let me know. Please feel free to post any photos of your MGL50 gear at home after you receive them ... ๐Ÿ˜†

  11. Sold thanks for looking For sale Sega Racing Hero, the best way to describe this game is its like a cross between Outrun and Super Hang On, this is a working project, I bought this with the intention of restoring it to its former glory but have too many projects at the moment so would like to see it go to another AA member who could restore the cabinet, The good, the pcb board works I can also send you a video of it working, the monitor is displaying a grey screen so it's not dead yet just beyond my skills, the controls work, new power supply installed, has the original seat and the cabinet is complete The not so good, the cabinet is in need of work around the bottom and could use some new paint, the throttle is sticky and I couldn't get the sound board to output any audio as the speakers were not connected, I did try to connect what I thought was the speakers cable to another speaker I had but still had no luck, no locks for the front doors but does have lock and key for the back door At the moment I would be willing to let it go to another AA member for what its cost me so far, $750, pick-up and inspection is in Rowville 3178, if anyone is interested please PM me, if there is no interest I will post it on eBay or Facebook but if someone is looking for a good project this could be it, thanks for looking.

  14. So apparently in '93 Coke ran a competition for its vendors. The most creative coke display won a 4 Player LAI NBA JAM cabinet. I recently bought an NBA JAM cabinet and was told it was won by the owners late father in the Coke competition. He ran a petrol station in Campbelltown SA at the time. The story does seem to fit. There's no coin box or mech, because it was never used in service. The LAI paperwork mentions Coca Cola. The coin door is red (ive only ever seen it in black). It's had very little use, boards inside look as clean as the day they were installed. No signs of mods anywhere. Has very little wear and tear you would expect if it was in public use, a few dings and cracking on the control panel overlay which they all get on the bend. I'd love to hear from anyone who worked at LAI at the time or anyone that may remember this cabinet and could fill in some more of its story. Was the red coin door common or unique for the competition? How many were made? Where was it made? I'm not too concerned about value. Im not parting with it any time soon. Thanks for your help.

  20. Most of my wiring loom was original, the credit board I wired up myself so I think most of those wires aren't the original colours. The P3 and P4 wiring section look original.

  21. Is it a Midway US cabinet or an LAI cabinet?. The red door is common by the way. We ordered empty cabinets and that is how the red door came from LAI. That allowed us to use our own coin mechs and then wired them to Sunrise credit boards. Something we did on most of our fleet. It may have be a Coka Cola prize but I would have expected that to be in a Midway cabinet and LAI did also have dedicated Midway NBAs, not only Australian made cabinets, I have no idea but we did sell Pepsi products on and off over the time so I can sort of see we may not have even been told of such a promotion.

  26. I have and several posts are from me with info I was able to share. There is no information I have been able to find after hours of searching on the actual original LAI TMNT harness wiring (which is not the same harness wiring as the konami version where the connectors, wire colours and connector wiring are different as well as the credit arrangement) . The reason for asking @kane was this seems like an original machine and it would be great if he could help us by posting the requested pics before he sells it.

  32. This game is one of sterns best.. Layout is so well done, ramps are so good to shoot, modes are good, animations & callouts tick every box. Upper playfield is very tough-which is good. Very well coded with more to come.

  33. LAI cocktail wired for jamma. the monitor is nice and bright with no burn in. cabinet laminate is peeling off in places but otherwise solid cabinet. had some fun with it over the lockdown but need to make space in the garage. $200 firm, the pcb is not included with the machine. perfect for classic horizontal games like ghosts and goblins however the monitor could be easily rotated so a vertical PCB like 1942 could be installed. located in moorebank NSW.
