  1. I'm getting motivated again now I've got a bit of cash to spend on this project. I've ordered the play field protector with artwork and engine shed plastic. Unfortunately when I got the last lot of decals I put the large gravel decal on the wrong side of the plastic so I've had to wait to get it reprinted. That stopped me from fitting the track and engines that sit in the shed. I'm happy now the cabinet artwork has stuck down well with just a bit of shrinkage on the front edges due to the heat in the shed but it's not too bad. I'll probably have a play with it tomorrow now Christopher is back at school two days a week. Sorry it's been so long since my last post but life has got in the way a bit lately. Cheers Trev.

  3. Hi folks! We’d like to share some exciting news with you all… Western Australia is set to have its very own Pinball Festival 😊 With Western Australia starting to ease restrictions from tomorrow, we thought what better time to announce plans for a pinball festival over here in the West. The West Coast Pinball Festival is a community event that will aim to help increase the overall awareness of pinball in Western Australia, and with any luck help grow the pinball community; while also serving as a means to help support some of the local small businesses following the economic impacts of Covid-19. Dates: Fri, 18 Sept - Sun, 20 Sept Location: The Old Pickle Factory, West Perth We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the following festival partners who have already joined us in support of the event... - Stern Pinball - Kids Just Wanna Have Fun Amusements - Marco Specialties - Haggis Pinball - Zero Latency - NPB Security - Aussie Arcade - MeCharge - and more to come... To keep updated as information is released please visit our web site https://westcoastpinballfestival.com/ or follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/westcoastpinballfestival/ We'd also like to put the call out to anyone in the community that is keen to come onboard and help support the festival, we'd love to hear from you! So please don't sit back, we encourage anyone in a position to help...step-up, get involved and play an active role in helping grow and support the pinball community in Western Australia. Some of the things we’re seeking support from the pinball community are… + Exhibitors (your machines @ the Festival) + Festival Sponsors & Partners + Event Volunteers Stay safe people and thanks for the support. Kind Regards, West Coast Pinball Festival Crew

  9. I've been pretty quiet the last week with my mind set on one task....get this upgraded and running again. I got sick of half finished projects lying around for months on end. I've been really frustrated with the printer especially with the warped bed causing all sorts of issues and wasting time trying to get a decent first layer. So what have I done? I wanted to install a Bltouch or in my case a clone version I bought (unknown to me) to see if the leveling process would go any smoother. Since I had the thing apart I also upgraded the stepper drivers to 2208, these make a huge difference in noise, except for the PSU fan the printer is almost silent now. To cut a long story short it only made it worse, in fact I was so frustrated I installed a new bed I had bought months back only to have it scratched. This new bed was perfect, no warping what so ever and I was able to manually level it without issue so the Bltouch should have only made it better.... I got exactly the same issue with the old and new bed where while printing a benchy the left hand side was literally digging into the bed, it can't of been a coincidence. I ended up going back to the old firmware with mesh leveling and everything came good. I'm now getting perfect first layers every time in fact this new bed has made a HUGE difference. This red PLA+ always gave me issues, I could never get the first layer down. I still need to play around with the retraction settings but this is a great step forward. I'm currently making shells for projects I've been doing the latest one is the Sdrive (on the right) for the Atari 8 bit, I even made some SIO plugs for it out of black ABS. The plugs are pretty fine, I probably should have used a .2 nozzle. In conclusion the Bltouch clone I bought is obviously defective. I've already gone to all the effort to put the wiring in so I'm going to eventually buy a genuine one and have another go. It's also interesting that the new bed I bought was 10 mm smaller than the old one.....go figure.

  10. 14,470 :D The difference between this Pac Man Plus and the original Pac MAN is incredible. Good challenge. The competition is very cool! Congratulations to everyone who has sent their scores. I am not able to play much, but I will keep trying to participate in my spare time.

  11. Hi all, I purchased a 4k virtual pinball machine from Dave at RetroPlay and was blown away by the quality of the entire build. Also Dave has given me support over the phone when i messed something up. He is always there and is a stand up guy. 11 out of 10 for me. Regards, Mark

  12. Thought I'd share some pix of stuff I've been 3D printing etc for some of my games. Some mods are available in a similar shape or form but I can't see the point in paying $30US for a sign plus postage when I can make one that has the name in raised print etc and have fun doing so. Anyway I hope some will find this of interest and thanks for viewing. 1. A custom spiderman shooter rod hand painted etc 2. Red spiders to go on the speakers 3. TWD Bio hazzard speaker covers 4. TWD logo that I put under my topper 5. TWD Prison Roof 6. TWD Woodbury sign 7. TZ Spiral Light cover - Arrow 8. Metallica logo for around the ramp 9. Metallica skull piston 10. GB Terror dog - - - Updated - - - more

  13. Gday all. Theres a US delivered MMr machine that I’ve noticed for sale for a long time. Just wondering if it can be used here in oz or is it just a piece of art to look at. I know you can get the step downs for voltages but do they change the hertz too? cheers. Boof

  21. 69,310 This game wouldn't be such a bad game if it weren't for the fact that fireballs appear RIGHT ON TOP of my man!!! :x I've lost so many deaths this way that shouldn't have happened. :013: (20 min later...) I changed my mind. This game sucks. Fireballs appeared out of no where, right on top of me and killed me 3 times in a row. I'm done with this one.

  29. 1,487,960,150 Fist game off the bat and scored, well at least for me. Only 100 million off my top score. Its probably chicken feed for the crew around this comp. Completed all modes but failed to complete all shots in eternal life which I am yet to do. Favourite mode for me is Monkey Brains, love the sound effects.

  32. Hoping to get 20 hours over the weekend into this project. Part of the customising was I asked Scott to ditch the drac assy mounts that are fugly in the middle of the playfield. Made up some custom mounts this arvo and tested with my home brew power supply..all good. Custom plastics are a bit sepia so going for a reprint hopefully more greyscale.

  35. Well, the builder has finished and all that is left is a shitload of painting, organising and cleaning. I am going to rejig the layout of the entire room, moving the pins to the far end and then opening up the space in the centre, as my room has always been too narrow with the pins in the middle. I am utterly dreading the amount of machine moving, cleaning and organising that I have to do in the coming weeks and months. Still need to paint and lay new carpet tiles. It's a long way from done, but at least I have the space to store all of my crap now. Trident, TMNT cab and some cocktails will all move back into the new space once I have organised a bit more. I expect it will still be a few months until I manage to get it all done.

  37. Playfield is in transit to Savage. Got a Ryobi rotary tool (Dremel) with 100 bits to sand polish and clean up everything. I am making new ball guides (the bits that attach to the timber rails) Also have had an update on my apron restoration. Very happy with the results. Sent from my AGM A8 using Tapatalk

  38. Up next is Funhouse First off was to setup and do a full inspection, order some parts then get it booting up. To get running, changed to 240v power and installed a new power lead. Changed the mpu to English from German. Do a battery mod and boot up game. Had to tighten a loose on/off switch and fix the sound. So now that the game works, it’s playfield removal time.
