  • Retro game related Barcades/Arcades, Stores, Events & Museums/Exhibits

    Hi All,

Mike from Brisbane here. I joined Aussie Arcade back in '09 - but haven't been back in here until recently.

So, over the past few months I've been compiling a world-wide listing of all the Retro Gaming related Barcades/Arcades, Stores, Events & Museums/Exhibits that I hear about, read about, see on social media or have been to in the hope that I could share the info around to help bring more & more people to the places where they can play, buy or enjoy any retro gaming goodness they've either been craving or which they didn't know they needed in their life. The other reason I created it was so that when people into retro gaming who are traveling interstate or over-seas they can have a hit list of retro events & places to possibly fill up some of their holiday time whilst simultaneously emptying their wallets at those places that are all about their own specific hobby. Don't know about you lot but when I'm on holiday I always try & seek out retro game stuff to spend some of those holiday dollars on hehe

I've recently semi-finalised my U.K. listing of this info & am currently posting & updating it in the Retro Gamer Mag's forum as well as on the Retro Asylum podcast's forum in their "Its All About The Games" sub-forum but I now I can finally unleash the Aussie portion of the listing to all of you in here.

I'm posting in this particular sub-forum as currently there isn't really a topic thread that suits this type of grouped info.
If the Mods of this forum don't see this as the right place for this post, or can offer a new spot for it I'd be more than happy to move the info if/when required. Also if my listing breaks any forum rules please let me know.

This listing is in no way "final" as it will always change as new places or events pop-up or, worst case, shut down. So if any of you see any info I've posted that's incorrect, out of date or if there are places missing off the list that you think should be on there feel free to post a comment or send me a PM - I'll try and get around to updating this listing minimum once a month. I know there are a good few Kiwi's in here & would love to start a NZ listing very soon - so any new info from any contributors is welcome.

well enough of the ramblings - here's the Aussie listing as it stands right now..
