Ya 9.9x and PM5 is the way to go, still not sold on VP10, though I haven't looked at it for ages to see if they've done anything about the crapped up nudging.

What rom do we use? It has a choice of 3 in the start menu.

Plus Dont forget to reset the Nvram if using an old one.

The desktop is very playable for me , so it's a goer.

Hey Andy, awesome that you're going to join us Installing from scratch can be a bit of a mind bender for VP noobs but I will link everything here and please feel free to ask any questions and someone will help as there's plenty of guys here that also know far more than I do, and have been involved longer as well. The good part is playing on a normal PC your setup is a lot less complex than a multiple screen cab.

So you will need to download VisualPinball 9.9 from Vpforums. (create an account there first)

Here is the link for full install VP 9.9: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?ap...&showfile=8793

Here are roms: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?ap...oads&showcat=9 (put roms into roms folder of pinmame)

Here are tables for single screen (desktop) play http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?ap...ads&showcat=11 (put tables into your tables folder of pinmame)

You'll need visual Pinmame: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?ap...ds&showfile=19 - this works the same way as MAME does for Arcade, same folder structure etc

You'll also need VB Scripts: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?ap...ds&showfile=17 (put these scripts where your tables files are)

You may need other stuff but get going on all that and see how you go. The order I would do things is:

              Install Pinmame
              Install VP 9.9
grab the desktop table for Flash Gordon (put into tables folder for Pinmame)
Grab the Rom for Flash Gordon (put into roms folder for Pinmame, keep them zipped just like mame roms)
Grab the VB Scripts and put them into your tables folder, unzipped

VPforums do not have the best organised site in the world but the search facility is decent if you can't find something.

Have a crack at all that and let me know how you go

If I've forgotten some vital step someone let me know, it's easier to do this than write about it I think...

You forgot the most vital step ..... He will need Physmod5 exe to run this table.

Also the 3 roms were ..... Dim roms: roms = Array("flashgdn", "flashgdv", "flashgdf")

The version you posted is. There are plenty of others to play, but as I read it, bet your bottom dollar that he D/Ld the link version and tried to play with VP9.9

                          Was the "flashgdn" rom

Starting score .... reset the Nvram ... 3 balls .... only 1 extra ball per game ( turned on Credits display and 40 credits)

did I read somewhere that there is a PM5 nudging fix ?

Which version is that ? Doesn't look like Sindbad's.

                              Table 2 posted later today.
