Try swapping the 6821 chips around ( if they are in sockets), and see if the problem travels.

Apologies, I had to amend this post. This issue is actually on my Stern Galaxy. There’re all becoming like blur these days. To many pinball issues.

Same answer, one of those chips drives just the displays on both brands. Being intermittent chances are it isn't the chip itself failing but the socket that the chips sits in. (very common as both brands used the cheapest sockets). Try resetting the chips in the same sockets without swapping the chips around or if the chips aren't in sockets, check for cracked solder joints on the pins. The 6821 chips are the lower two large chips in a verical row in the middle of the MPU board...Top left board.;)

This problem can only occur back at the chip itself although you may wish to try the main display connector from the board but that usually results in a line of data missing on every display rather than two displays displaying the same data.

My player 4 diaplay is showing the same info as credit display. How is this even possible???

The displays are refreshed one digit at a time around 400 times per second on these games.

The credit display is the last display in the sequence to be refreshed.

You likely have an open circuit on the display select signal to player 4 (which is probably a brown-orange wire) from MPU J1 pin 23 to the player 4 display at pin 15.

An open circuit on that signal means the player 4 display is always receiving/showing display data intended for any display and since the credit display is handled last, player 4 display showing the last active display info being the credit display info.

So check for a bad connection at MPU J1 pin 23 and the player 4 display at pin 15
