Been looking forward to this one. Not an exceptional machine the old EK but I don't know it like the back of my hand like Addams. Thank you.

Vinegar bath over night to clean up some rust.

              Polished

Going through my parts box and Bingo, found my already chromed missing parts in the bottom of the bin wrapped in newspaper

So installed the hangers then the apron.

Reversed the chromed ball gate and installed

                So playfield top finished.

Time to finish the missing underneath parts.

While I’ve been cleaning out the shed and polishing parts for the Fathom Playfield swap, I dug out the coin doors.
Stripped one and dropped the parts in the vinegar bath.

Polished some of the parts ready for the new door skin.

                    Turned out pretty nice.

Now to do the wiring and switches

Just about gone through all the rusty metal parts.
Some fresh out of the vinegar bath and cleaned.
Some of it might even end up at chromers but most should polish up nice.
The coin door switches and coin lockout brackets came up nice. Had to pinch from another game though.

Started back onto the EK cabinet.
Had to fix the bottom and glue down.

Also rip some ply strips and glue in to fix the underside edges.

After 4 years of the 2pac white shrinking, have also had to do some repairs.
A few bits of the ply delaminated so had to cut out.
Plus quite a bit of planking, splitting in parts. I really does soak in.

                                OK.
                                Definitely need a better cabinet.

This is one just had too much delamination. Edges started coming up, some parts had let go like where I previously cut out and repaired.
Next thing the whole sides were off and the next layer wasn’t pretty.
I’ll repair this but start with a better doner cab if not new.
