I ended up taking the file to office works with an original and they sorted it out.

A bit more playing around with the printer properties I managed to double their size but I still need to double it again to get close to actual size

Hey Rob... had a lot of time in the printing industry. Simplest way would be to save your artwork (assuming it's just line art...no pics) as a TIFF file.
Tiff files are "non lossy" which means you can print them at any size with no loss of quality and no bit map images showing up. This is only for line art though. Pic files need to be scanned at the correct size and printed at 100%.

Hope this helps in some way.

What am I doing wrong and how do you size them correctly for printing?
            Cheers

Might be worth printing to File size?
that should work if the file is correctly sized.

Rob, DPI has no bearing on sizing. DPI is how many dots per square inch the printer is going to output. The higher the DPI the sharper the image.

You say in a previous post that you are outputting the image at the size of a 50 cent piece which is 30mm from edge to edge. A typical pop bumper would be around 60 to 75mm. Lets say it's 75mm for this example.

Do some simple math: 75mm divided by 30mm = 2.5. Times the 2.5 x 100 and you'll have 250. 250 is the percentage you will need to set your printer to print the logo. Set the dpi to the highest setting for a sharp output.

You'll find all these setting at your print output settings.

Are you running Windows 10 ?
Go to windows accessories, open Paint program, Print, Go to Page Set Up, select Portrait, select ADJUST TO 100% NORMAL SIZE. Now print and see how you go.

Think Iíve just about sorted it out, in the printer settings that I was using if I set the photo size to full page and then did a test print it was almost spot on

                            • That looks really nice. Can I ask how much powder coating costs? How much for the apron for example?
                              This is where it ends!
