Isolation projects? Post them here!

Recommended Posts

Having a compromised immune system I’ve gone into a self imposed isolation. Day two and I’m already bored so decided to start one of my project machines.

Ive got a set of alternate decals that stuzza did.

Wondering how many other projects are going to get done during this time.

About to start prepping my beloved Stern Stingray for selling.. something i always swore i'd NEVER do, as it was my first ever pin purchase 32 years ago.

Never the less i have to do it, as i have to recoup some of the $$ i spent buying Gorgar.

In this order;

TAF - Tidyup = strip, clean, redecal and a couple of mods. Currently underway.

IJ - tidyup = as above.

Repair cab on Vector then sell:rolleyes.

Bally Playboy - strip, clean, PF swap, repaint cab.

Fathom - as above (no PF swap)

Go into retirement from work. (Hope the super bounces back):(

Paint all the window reveals and skirting boards in the house gloss white.

Build new pergola / outdoor area.

Probably enough there to keep me going until Saturday week.:D

Unfortunately / fortunately I'm still working but the wife thinks I'm not so I've got a list of jobs that will last a lifetime. 1st of the rank - guttering. I repurposed a hose pressure "U" wand to fit the Gerni. Change the location of the hose which means digging. Tidy the shed - far out, I dont know where to start there.

Well the first project is nearly at the end. These decals that Stuzza did are sweet. Always a worry when straying from original but I’m so glad I did. It’s just gorgeous.

Black trims are the way to go I think. Still not 100% on that yet. I’ve got a set of old rails I might just spray black to see.

So, Isolation projects to date, finish the Phantom Pokie Topper for @Budgie -Done ! :D Work bench clear for next project, now make light chaser board for Players Pokie Topper. This thing is BIG, luckily I have just the spot for it. I have been fixing its little electronic problems for ages now. i couldn't use its original chaser as this would run 555 Lamps that where 24v. I could not source these , so used the 6.3V 555 lamps I had pulled out of my pinnys when LED upgraded ( recycle dont throw away ) But now its time to finish it !

Ripping into a redecal and tidy up on t2 to start with. Indy next, then tz, then demo man, then whitewater. T2 is ready for decals now with the rails / lock down bar/ hinges / legs back from the powdercoaters.

Well the Coon hunt cabinet is finished my son and I have started a project that’s been on the shelf forever a 1920 chester pollard play football, Original plan was to make it out of hardwood but with such short notice that he was interested we settled on pine for our first stuff up I mean attempt 😂😂

It's Coon Hunt time!!! That's Seeburgs Coon Hunt you racists!

So, finished the Players Sign for my Man Cave today. This was a 6 year project , stage 1 took 4 years to finally get the sign, Stage 2 , 2 years on my shed work bench to finally finish !

Getting this sucker into place was no easy feat...I had top stack 2 esky's on my 900mm lift platform to get the Sign up to the height to plonk it on top of the Bar ! The missus thought I'd flip the lot...she has little faith :) Mission Accomplished !

Yep, if I can swing a 2 Tonne lift motor into place, I can move a big slightly heavy sign. Please note that I used Load Bearing Esky's. They are rated to two adults standing on them for footy watching purposes....safety first :D
