  • 2020 SA MASTERS 11-13 SEPTEMBER

Following on from the success of the event in September last year, we are pleased to announce that the SA Masters is returning for 2020!

    2020 SA MASTERS 11-13 SEPTEMBER

PLEASE SEE THE FIFTH POST IN THIS THREAD FOR ALL THE INFORMATION

    VENUE:

    BOWLAND PORT PIRIE

Once again, this year there will be SIX IFPA tournaments held over the three days.

We have expanded the event this year. We are aiming for 50 machines to fill the large space and cater for many more players.

Together with a much higher player number cap it means LOTS OF IFPA POINTS.

We will be doing our absolute best to make the event as enjoyable and professional as in 2019.

    VENUE

The event has grown to the level that we need an external venue. To that end we are pleased to announce that this years event will be held at:

    THE KOZAK BALLROOM FUNCTION CENTRE

66 ORSMOND STREET HINDMARSH 5007 SA

It's a great central location, not even 10 minutes from the city centre.

The Kozak Function Centre is an 8 minute walk from the Entertainment Centre tram stop - if you catch the tram from the city it is free.

At the Kozak Centre, our event will have exclusive use of the huge main room and stage, plus our own staffed bar and kitchen.

    REGISTRATION

At this early stage, player numbers this year will be capped at 80.

Payment for the event will open very soon but:

    EVENT HISTORY

When Grant Bet7676 (Adelaide Pinball Hire) first came up with the idea for the SA Masters in 2017, no one envisaged that after only three years the tournament series would grow so much that we are now using an external venue.

In 2017, Grant did an incredible job running the first SA Masters at his own Adelaide Pinball Hire "factory" and from there it has grown. In 2018, players had a great time at Bowland in Port Pirie when the event moved out of Adelaide - thanks razorsedge - and in 2019 at Amusement Worx the event continued to grow with tournaments selling out.

    FURTHER INFORMATION

    1. Thanks to Amity the Facebook page is already up.
    https://www.facebook.com/events/903091593458992/
    2. The event will run along the same lines as last year - three days and six tournaments (one of which will be a 'pump and dump').
    3. With more players there will be more volunteers required.
    4. There will be more acknowledgement of contributions to the event, so a list will be maintained of contributors, volunteers, sponsors etcetc
    5. We hope to have live streaming of the event.
