Hi All

For those that may be feeling like there is no other option. Please see this for what it is, hopefully helpful information nothing more nothing less. :023:

Hy Tech transport Peter can help with Melb-Syd-Melb. Weekly. Peter has been transporting Pinball machine for AMD for years. Many here inc myself used him befor Prowler started.

sales@hytechtransport.net.au

Milan is running Syd-BNE-Syd I don’t have his details but I’m sure someone can post it if they have them.

Oh and just hot off the phone from Peter now. He has picked up another QLD contract and will be running not only to BNE but further into Nth Qld starting this Feb/Mar not sure of frequency at this time but again email him for more info. @Koops Peter tried to contact you but email bounced back?

Another alternative is Air Road if you can get pin on pallet to depot and pick up at depot other end at depot the price is excellent

Had a champ pub depot to depot adelaide to brisbane under $240 but that was 18 mths ago if you register 10% off and ive found them far more professional than ego

Yes, Air Road collected one of my machines I sold and were very good. Initially I thought it was a big job and inconvenience to pallet a machine but after spending 30mins doing so, it was pretty easy. I just placed the machine without legs and head box folded down, on cardboard on the pallet (the correct way up and not on it's back vertical), placed padding/bubblewrap and cardboard around it, strapped securely, then wrapped with commercial cling film wrapping. All too easy.

Groote Island off NT? Thats bloody good value I reckon.

possibly cos its little? they cube the freight so a pinball might well have been double that

I gave them a go MEL-SYD a while back and the service was good but the price was higher than a removalist. from memory the freight was lifted by TNT

I'm not sure what what email they used as I never gave one (just sms'ed them). I Smsed them again with two different email addresses (work and home). I'll wait on a response.

I packed it and another AA member paid for the transport, so I am unsure of the exact cost. I was never told not to 'overhang' anything. Went from Melb to QLD.

The biggest issue with overhang is the high likelihood of damage! Anything hanging over will get bumped and often the fork lift will drive straight into it. I say DON'T DO IT.

Ive sent many pins on pallets all have over hang only time had issues was with EGO hunters but they are the cheapest ive sent and delivered quite a few with Airroad without problems standard pallet size never been charged excess even with ego

REALLY COMES DOWN TO THE PACKAGING if its prepared right youll usually be ok
