  • Roller Disco playfield scan

Playfield scanning almost complete. Then it is on to digital touchup. Master file is about 270MB.

Progress and restoration will be posted in restoration section once I get up to speed.

Man- your doing some outstanding things.
I know you have a "specialist styled" scanner ( as in non-raised surrounds) - but what settings are you scanning at?
I tried to scan my Flash BG about a month ago and it was absolute SHIT at various res settings. I also have a gy who needs a section of Paragon PF scanned and would like to help him out.

    Any tips?

Scanned at 300 dpi and in BMP format.

Having no surrounds on the scanner that lift it away from the surface is crucial to getting a clear/sharp image. I tried about 5 other types of scanner before getting this one from the USA and then all came out SHITE.

Just took the scanner and laptop to the pinnie room and scanned away!

Need to fully strip the playfield to scan so I could do it for Paragon if someone in Adelaide was willing (and had a Paragon).

OK- so I need to get rid of the lips !

No worries on the Paragon- I actually own one and want to scan it to help the guy out but with my " Mick Jagger" of scanners I guess I am no hope
