hide that flipper wear

not a good look, now , no more wear:)

 

we tried to get these rails here, no one stocks them, not even AMD

 

we were told too expensive too import, quoted $400 for postage

 

got them from Bay Area for $50 US, plus $40 postage

 

ordered on Thursday night arrived Newcastle Tuesday

Sorry to say, but they look pretty ord.. :o

 

I think I prefer the look with the wear.. And now there looks to be an additional 3 holes where the rails have been secured to the cabinet.

The good thing about these Stern siderails are they will fit straight on late model Data East/Sega games,great for fixing Cab art on a Frankenstein

I think it looks great, like all the late model Sterns

 

Just fit some black screws

That was the worst cabinet wear around flippers i've seen.....even the wood was deeply worn:o , considering the machine isn't all that old.

 

I think the new rails are a big improvement and look great! :cool:

IMO, what you did is exactly what I would have done in your situation.

 

It has covered most the wear so thats better then nothing.

 

I much rather standard rails, why couldn't stern have flipper protectors from factory I don't know. :unsure FUCK KNOWS!

 

Its good to see also that a game like this got so many plays it has worn the way it has. Must be a good game :unsure

Saw a sited POTC in Toowoomba this arvo that had these rails on it, looked ok and prob would not have noticed them except for reading this thread this arvo...not sure if they came out with them on :unsure
