  • Quick and Dirty Jukebox

WOKA showed those that were lucky enough to be at his place on Sunday a panel PC with touch screen that he had picked up on e-bay or $100.

I, like a number of the others, snuck into his ofice and secured one while they were still available. Picked mine up on Thursday and added a 2.66 P4 CPU ($45 from the local PC recycler) 512Meg o RAM (pinched from my UBUNTU Server) an a 40 Gig drive that was too small for anything else and I had a fully functional Jukebox with touch screen inside of 2 hours!

Being lazy I was more than happy when I was told that it looked OK as it was (a panel PC with two external speakers) and it is not much bigger than the CD player it is replacing.

In fact I am writting this on it as it plays away quietly in the background.

Anybody got a suggestion as the best software (Win XP) for a touch screen juke box (Audio only)?

    Michael
