  • Wall Mounted MP3 Jukebox plans

    Hi,

i want to build a wall mounted mp3 jukebox for my gamesroom. Some time ago I saw a website that sold plans for 1 but I can't remember the address or name. Does anyone know it or know of any other sites that have free plans??

yeah, i want to know too, this idea sounds sweet! jukeboxes are too dear and unreliable. an mp3 jukebox would be sic.

I have made a juke box roughly following this design. I got the 15" LCD from a swap meet and built the cabint around it. I have some pics but they are to big to attach.

I got this software a few years ago and they were having a few problems but i think they have fixed them now (but i have not updated mine for about 2 years)

There is a similar jukebox software that is free but not quite as good as VMJ

same here, a wall mounted juke box would be awesome.
just downloaded doscab and that is a great piece of freeware.

            but bugger paying for plans.

I use SK Jukebox and prefer it over Virtual Music Jukebox as it is very buggy.

I'd like to see a dedicated jukebox forum on Aussie Arcade.

What about the option of including a touch screen..? They come up occasionally on the Bay.. Would be a nifty interface..!

I'm with you here, jukebox should be added to the forum.

I guess like everyone else here I've been thinking of doing a jukebox (but video for me), I have everything set aside except for the speakers and screen. I've been toying with using a 68cm TV, but a touch screen would be cool. Might have to do a bit more research and have a rethink.

I am running a celeron 700Mhz 128Mb RAM which is a little bit under done.

                      PC $150
                      15" LCD $180
                      Software $35
                      Illuminated Buttons $110 (approx)
                      Logitec Speakers $100
                      Keyboard Hack $5
                      Timber $30*
                      Powerboard $5
                      Glass (from a mate) Free!!
                      Hardware $15

For the timber I used 3 spare MDF shelves (900 x 400) that I had left over in the garage. I will take some measurements and post them here soon with some pics if I can work out how to reduce their size!!

Here are some pics of my box during construction. They were take before i had the glass made up so I put some cardboard in instead. I have taken some measurements of the box. They are very rough, I hope they can be of assistance to someone.
