The Next Generation of Traxxas 2.4GHz Control
XO-1 is equipped with the world's most advanced Ready-To-Race? radio system. The all-new Traxxas? TQi™ radio system with Docking Base turns your iPhone? or iPod touch? into a powerful tuning tool. New fine pitch splined steel telescoping driveshafts handle 50% more torque than conventional shafts. Oversized 6X12mm ball bearings spin efficiently at high rpm, run after blistering run

Impressive, but for me going at 100Mp/h may seem impressive, but where ware you going to go to do this each time, how is it in cornering. Wonder how drivable it is a slower speeds. and alas whats the go on needing an iphone to unlock this feature. I believe it's goverened to 60mp/h without the iPhone.

Still got to admire it, I Prefer bashability over straight line performance

im with you, i much prefer an off road vehicle. im sure traxxas must have have shares in apple so the iphone or ipod will unlock the 100mph setup on it.
                        however
i like the idea of streching the slash 4x4 chassis which is essentially what they did to create this.now they have a basis for a good off road vehicle now, just change the driveshafts to wheels and the a-arms and your good to go

i got an email from www.liquidrc.com and it shows clearly in one of the photos from traxxas in the instructions "warning, risk of fire, injury or death" in the instructions for this vehicle...and its on the page about the lipos to power it with.
well at least they are covering all bases i guess..lol

be interesting to see who puts up the first video on you tube of their x-1 ploughing in to a solid object and exploding on impact in to a billion pieces

this is pretty much the general consensus on all rc forums. dont be suprised if with in the next 6 months traxxas bring out a off road version. i wouldn't be at all suprised if they don't already have it designed and ready to go
