  • Mega Drive II AV/composite sockets mod

    Hi guys,

Does anyone have a link to a good guide for installing these to a Mega Drive II?

I've been googling but keep getting conflicting information.

    Thanks

    Alex

Because I'm an idiot that likes to tinker with things. Also work for an electronics shop so I have access to all the components.

Is there a guide to making that DIN-RCA lead yourself anywhere? Even just the pin-out of the DIN socket in a MDII would work.

Yep that sorts me out. I've ordered that cable too. Want to get this mega drive II running AV out before next weekend so I'm going to temporarily solder in an AV cable to that position.

            Thanks!

Looking at that pin-out....are one of those positions suitable for ground?

I have made my own leads before, this is the pinout info I used.
              Genesis A/V Pinout
No pins are ground the ground connection is via the metal ring.

Yep I understand that. I mean what position on the mega drive PCB would be suitable for grounding, or what position have you guys used?
