Not really that surprising, and Google did post a warning about this change for some time now. My history is disabled and always has been, but this doesn't stop targeted marketing. Whenever I see an ad, whether on Facebook, YouTube etc it always has to do with something I'm interested in. The internet collects data about you no matter what you do, through bots, spyware, cookies etc and has done since its existence.

Thanks for the heads up, I had seen their policy change and had modified most my stuff but appears i had missed some minor things I could opt out of and did, what I would like is to disable history in youtube without having to logout all the time / private browse to do so.
