    Ok Boyz,

Below is my current machine. It runs ok

    AMD 64 3200
    2 Gig Corsair Ram
    X800 XT
    2 x 200gig WD
Pioneer DVD Dual Layer Burner, LG DVD Burner
    600 watt PSU

This is my first and only machine, bought it about a year and a half ago.

    AMD 64 3200
    512 meg RAM
    160 gig HD
Samsung 12x DVD Dual Layer Burner (peice of shit)
    Average Graphics / Sound Cards
    17" CMV LCD screen
Creative sound system with 10" Woofer (currently playing KoRn's Blind - cranked)

Havn't really used it for any gaming, just mass downloading - needs more RAM!

                      Seriously though.

As I don't play PC games I don't need much so my main desktop at home is:
                      AMD Athalon XP2000 (1.6GHz I believe)
                      512M DDR RAM
                      160GB HDD
                      40GB HDD
                      LG DVD-RW
Onboard Sound and using my very old Aptiva speakers which at the time were made by Bose
                      Onboard video

My work laptop is faster and has more RAM but less HDD.

Hey, Remember the machines we had in the data centre that could take up to 64 P4 Processors and I don't remember how many terrabytes of RAM?

Actually my memory was wrong. It supported 32 sockets which could be dual core so up to 64 cores and only 512GB of RAM. Just not good enough!

Current PC, eh? I've got around 12 or so working PCs in the house at any one time. More depending on what time of year and what jobs I'm doing.

The oldest *working* one is probably an old 486DX with around 8 to 16MB RAM that is currently a testing linux-firewall for a project. The fastest would be the AthlonXP 2600+ overclocked to "3300" speeds (one increment in speed higher than a 3200+) with 1GB RAM. I gave up PC gaming around 2 or so years back after the tsunami of crap FPS games that seem to be released every year, and never bothered upgrading after that.

There's a multitude of systems in between. Anything from test boxes to MAME machines to workstations to compiler farm nodes to media boxes to whatever.

Non-working - there's anywhere upwards of 20 busted machines at my place at any one time. They hand around for spare parts or future fixits until the missus goes sky-high and the server room gets a cleanout. (Yes, I have a server room at home).
