  • Long weekend = New Cab Progress

Have made a few leaps forward on the Pacman-Qbert Multi Cabinet.

Decided to put some overlay on the panel behind the screen

    Bigger here

Black laminate to the sides - bunnings $99.00 for enough for 2 sides

Used spray on glue, that is good shit, took minutes to dry

Needed lots of weight till it dried

    More pics to follow,

Cool, did they have any other laminate colors (other than patterns)?

They have marble type colours only, about 10 different ones. The only plain colours are white and black

Does anyone know where to get a Custom CPO made in Australia?

      Dez

I live in Perth, but anywhere in OZ will do for vinyl printing

Here's a crazy CPO I made, I hate it. LOL

I painted the Picture in Corel paint to see if it looked any good. Noooo it suxxxx

(the cab is bare particle board still)

The CPO is real, printed on A4 photo paper, and sticky taped to the Control panel

              Here's a good laugh!

It is amazing what you think will look good, can look like SHIT on the cab.

Love the cab, laminate looks the goods
but agree you must change that control panel artwork, are you having the Joystick setup for Q-bert, and won't that make it difficult to play Pacman
                  Keep the pics rolling

Done, assuming you wanted it in the Arcade project section, not MAME.

I know there is a OR GATE circuit available to play Q*Bert on a Horizontal Orientated Stick. Only when 2 switches are pressed will the ground be felt at the PCB etc.

My way of thinking is that that is an AND Gate, but anyway (SLAP) . . . (Edit: OK I worked it out, it is an OR, Dez)

I want to design a circuit to do the same when playing Pacman and the other games.

Pacman only can be played on a 4 way joystick, So i need a similar circuit which is switched with the game selector.

                          Artwork in CP

I am trying to get the Pacman Qbert theme into the control panel artwork

I need honest feedback on this idea. It will be expanded into the CP somehow

I can take the truth either way

                          Bigger

I look forward to honest feedback

I like the idea, but I'd suggest not going too far with the 3d-ness.

I'd remove the purple guy from being on his side, and I'd cut down on the number of yellow dots, keeping them to two planes, eg as if they were going down a waterfall (across the top of squares, and down the side, but not sidewards on the side of a block)

It gets a little funky when the dots go in all directions.

Oh, and make the power pellet 3D
