Restoration tip needed

Recommended Posts

What I would do.

Sand it all down (preferably with an orbital sander) otherwise by hand.

Go to super cheap or a Automotive paint supplier and by a fibre glass repair kit.

Roughen / sand the inside and apply the fibre glass strips and then the resin

Once hardened use auto filler (car bog) and apply on the outside.

Sand and re-apply filler if needed.

When cured, sand with 240 grit or lower to get most of it down flat, then sand with a finer grade like 400 dry.

Use Primer filler (not just primer) all over the outside.

Nice even coats, do about 3 or 4.

Allow a few days to properly dry.

(use black paint lightly over for a guide coat)

Then sand with wet and dry 400 grit sand paper, until black paint is gone.

re do the black guide paint

re-sand with 800 grit.

Then paint.
