Gemini2544
Well it's a done deal & it's home. Amazing whats in old sheds. It needs alot of work but the game has life. The chassis is shorted out so that's going to Joey, Soundboard has some problem yet to sort. But the machine is complete & so the restoration begins. I set up a monochrome monitor to confirm video, image is reversed as this plays through a two way mirror. All voltages are good but re capping will need to be done. Not a bad find for $400. This is a monochrome monitor hooked up to see if we have life.

Gemini2544
Well today I got the all the sounds & speech going also got the Periscope & coin door going. I played it.. AWESOME. Joey said to send up the RGB chassis so that basically sorts out the electronics. Just need to restore the cabinet & stencil art. I don't suppose the art work is out there?

Gemini2544
Finished the final coat of oil paint. Perfect match. Let it dry for a week & by then the decals should be here. I'll put the t-moulding back on once the paint hardens up..

Gemini2544
Nice work i loved this game back in the day. It's a better game compared to Wolf 1 & Wolf 2. This game is in colour, stereo sound, has speech & the periscope scans 180 degrees. I love the sonar pinging during the game, it remindes me of the "Voyage to the bottom of the sea" tv show. It has the same sonar sounds.
Noob-A-Tron
I agree that's why i loved it as a kid. Played that back in Adelaide at Timezone in the City or Magic Mountain can not remember. Might have to get to a meet of yours just to play it.
Gemini2544
Sure why not, it's the only one in Australia as far as I can find out. Only 13 still in the USA. So she's pretty special & worth a trip to play. Klov- There are 15 known instances of this machine owned by Up Scope collectors who are active members. Of these, 13 of them are original dedicated machines, and 2 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.
