      Rom ckong

I was so excited with this game. It is the furthest I have ever been in a Kong game and the first time I have ever thought ‘I could kill screen this game’.

      Rom ckongpt2

I am also pretty happy with this score.
Both of these versions are way easier than DK. I don’t know if that will be a help or hindrance when I go back to DK.

Please choose whichever score is acceptable. I hope it’s the first one!
2nd one is the correct one. See John73's post I quoted above. It depends on which version of MAME you're using. Before .139, ckong was Crazy Kong part 2. I submitted an undumped Crazy Kong romset (that wasn't part 2) around that time and starting with .139 they decided to make that one the parent romset for some reason, and split off Crazy Kong Part 2 as a new parent set ckongpt2 for part 2 and all its clones. If you play the current ckong romset, it's much easier than part 2, as you don't have the holes in the barrel level beams, the level 2+ conveyor belts aren't fast and you can run behind Kong on the rivet level. The non part 2 sets (other than Orca) all have really ugly colors too

It plays a bit different but still managed to beat my other score

Was on pace for 600k+ for most of this game but had a lot of difficult flames that killed me off.

Two identical wild barrel deaths on 4-1 I think, a really stupid walk into a spring death and final death on 20-1 when I got nervous with a barrel/wild barrel combination going to top girder.

If I wasn't on 600k pace, I must have been pretty damn close. Still plenty of time to hit 600k

Haven't played this one in ages. I wasn't going to submit this score because I was just shy of 14th place but I decided what the heck. Used to score regularly 350k to 400k bitd. It won't take long to get my score up there again. Ironically enough, I haven't gotten a kill-screen yet. Don't see why I wouldn't be able to get one being that the 3rd elevator stages are much easier than the original DK which happens to be my achilles heel.

Btw, is the ks on 22 like that of DK? That should be about 88 stages if I'm correct.

85th Stage is KS. 21 levels of 4 boards + the KS on 22-1.

Actually there are also 4 distinct elevators in this version also - level 3 is generally considered the hardest, but is still a piece of piss. The 4th elevators continue right through until level 21, and short of major brain farts, you should never die on these.
