My 1st MGL game was Time Pilot and it turned into a leechfest between me and another gamer. With parachute hunting being allowed and TG players being involved in MGL these days I'm predicting that my 793K from MGL 14 will get totally obliterated this time around.

Game on!!!!!

Won't be able to play again until Tuesday so putting this up now. Just ran boards, no parachute hunting. Lost nearly all of my lives on the UFOs as always :UFO6:

That's because you'll be playing with your silver balls again. Amazing what you can do with chrome these days. Me, I prefer video games ... http://i.imgur.com/z91itqI.gif

New PB!

Really happy with that score for two reasons.

1. My previous PB was on easy settings rather than difficulty 3.

2. I have reclaimed number one spot on my leaderboard from churgs.

And a 3rd reason is that you lead the scoreboard for now on this game ... :rolleyes

Day 8 of 17 ...

The brave pilots who ventured into incredible odds. Like in Gauntlet, "I've not seen such bravery", unless you also play Gauntlet.

I'm the little kid looking on in amazement. No? OK, I'm the big guy then with clear shades.

Also, when I played this game occasionally in the 80s, Time Pilot reminded me of the hit song Sky Pilot from the 60s. Yes when you are a kid, some things get ingrained in your head, like the Vietnam War, Walking on the moon, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, pinball and video games. And a few others too ... :)

He blesses the boys as they stand in line

The smell of gun grease and the bayonets they shine

He's there to help them all that he can

To make them feel wanted he's a good holy man

Sky pilot.....sky pilot

How high can you fly

You'll never, never, never reach the sky

He smiles at the young soldiers

Tells them its all right

He knows of their fear in the forthcoming fight

Soon there'll be blood and many will die

Mothers and fathers back home they will cry

Sky pilot.....sky pilot

How high can you fly

You'll never, never, never reach the sky

He mumbles a prayer and it ends with a smile

The order is given

They move down the line

But he's still behind and he'll meditate

But it won't stop the bleeding or ease the hate

As the young men move out into the battle zone

He feels good, with God you're never alone

He feels tired and he lays on his bed

Hopes the men will find courage in the words that he said

Sky pilot... sky Pilot

How high can you fly

You'll never, never, never reach the sky

You're soldiers of God you must understand

The fate of your country is in your young hands

May God give you strength

Do your job real well

If it all was worth it

Only time it will tell

In the morning they return

With tears in their eyes

The stench of death drifts up to the skies

A soldier so ill looks at the sky pilot

Remembers the words

"Thou shalt not kill"

Sky pilot.....sky pilot

How high can you fly

You never, never, never reach the sky

... +1 to the list of games I should have spent more time playing before now.

I'm sorry, foreshadower says what now?!

Took many tries to get this score. In my hands, this game could well be renamed to "Noob_Pilot". :) Still figuring it out. The time travel element reminds me of a great little C64 game called "Battle Thru Time" which was like a Moon Patrol clone in different time zones.

Good to see you gaming at 114am. Playing Gauntlet, the narrator (voiced by Ernie Fosselius) frequently makes statements repeating the game's rules, including: "Shots do not hurt other players, yet", "Remember, don't shoot food!", "Elf shot the food!", and "Warrior needs food, badly!" The narrator occasionally comments on the battle by saying, "I've not seen such bravery!" or "Let's see you get out of here!" When a player's life force points fall below 200, the narrator states, "Your life force is running out", "Elf needs food", or "Valkyrie is about to die!"

That's a lot of talking in the game. A fun game though.

Looking at your screenshot, it really should be Bob Pilot ...

The first level with biplanes is very dark in my version - is it meant to be? WW2 & helicopters seem normal. Think I use Mame 107.

Not sure to be honest, especially in 107, but it sounds OK. Pilots to their planes, it's getting dark.
