Sounds like a question for Billy Mitchell???

Managed to get a 1CC and then through the first level. But it gets crazy hard on the second loop as the AI bullets get much faster.

Some great scores already! Took me a couple of credits to get into it, but then everything started flowing nicely. I managed to complete the first four levels without dying which is unusual for me. Before this, my PB was about 700 k. Very happy to get a million so early on in the running - I knew the MGL and my fellow gamers would help inspire me to do it!

When I saw this game announced, I had a big goofy grin. I didn't get to play it back in the day (found it via RetroUprising a couple of years ago when bingeing on Toaplan vertical scrollers) but I did get to play it on cab for the first time at the 1 UP in Brisbane last year which was pure magic. The soundtrack is magnificent and I find myself whistling several melodies from the first stage quite regularly.

                Day 2 of 17 ...

Wonderful game, and wonderful gamers, that's what I like to see ...

A really fun game, with plenty of points and madness out in the field. Just like video gaming should be.

Wow... your ability on shmups is bordering on freakish.

Do you play on an arcade cabinet?

Thanks playing on an upright cab I built earlier this year using an old PC running WolfMAME. I also sunk a tonne of money into Twin Cobra and other vertical scrolling shmups back in the day.

At least your plane flies and you posted a starting score. Everyone's got to start somewhere.

I'm very curious to know what players choices are for power-ups in this game. Whilst I lean towards red for the first level, I try to switch to blue spread for stage 2. Reading the flow of collecting power-ups and timing them is part of the fun challenge of the game. Mistiming them can be a real bummer, especially when they lure you to your death, but it's also cool to experiment with the power upgrades.

I also remember trying to find a Twin Galaxies MAME record awhile ago for the two-player track on the game but never finding one - I wonder why as it would make a fantastic record to chase with a friend.

Some familiar names in the single player track! https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/tw...e-player-only/

First try. I've played this game this year at the Summer Yolo 2019 tournament. My maximum was just over 200,000.
I don't know if I can do it again.

There is a version of this game that I find sensational that is for Nes 8 bits. I recommend it to anyone who is curious.
