          I gather this is a jamma harness straight into an encoder that goes to the PC, aka no wiring if you want to MAME an arcade cabinet.

          Considering you can get an arcade cabinet < $50 and it costs several weeks and a few hundred dollars to build your own... it sounds like a good idea to me!
