  • Kagi Chassis

Had some success over the weekend with this chassis that was attacked by the good old rat technicians

    Fault:

Picture would start to slowly fade away to a blank screen and had other issues with picture changing size also before rats got to it

    Repairs:

Checked and replaced PSU caps and 2 10uf caps on main pcb as these where well below there value No change

Thinking this might be either a neck pcb problem or flyback issue i resoldered neck pcb and also re did wire connections in tin box. No change.

I changed the neck pcb with one i had from working chassis and chassis was fired up and worked with no issues of fading.

I checked original neck pcb and desoldered socket to tube. I found that 2 of the socket pins have rusted away so i replaced the socket and all is good

Hope this helps anyone with the same issue i had

    Nice detective work, congrats.
If it isn't broke then don't fix it!
