  • the multiboard red light of death?

got a phone call few weeks ago from a mate who's 48 board had died

took out another tested machine all good. bought his home tested on 3 machines no go. tested various PS and monitors to be extra safe. it had a red led flashing on the bottom corner

tonite though heck ill test that mini PS and see if it powers the board and plugged it in and no red light

take it down the shed and bang board is now running?

for several days i tested on and off and no go. now after just sitting around the board works

i almost frisbee'd it out the door

I had this problem once when the JAMMA Socket was worn and too wide (By about 1mm)
        The PCB wasn't seated right

        Maybe same??

Shannon, try swapping over the eprom with another 48 in 1 board.,

I have had one with this same issue that had a faulty eprom. Replacing it fixed it.

If it is going ok, then just leave it, first rule in the repair bible.
