  • power supply question

got a PS here off a usb to ide adaptor

wondering as it goes straight into a HD will it be ok for a multiboard?

its tiny size makes it a good choice for a bartop or similar

It should be marked with the rated output voltage and current. You'll also need to check the power requirements of the multi board.

          12v 2a
          5v 2a
          ground

cracked it open and will test with it open to keep it cool

As long as the voltages are correct, and the current requirements of the board are less than the capability of the power supply, that should be fine.

2Amps from the 5 volt supply sounds a bit on the light side to me, but it does depend on the game.
If it isn't broke then don't fix it!

I pulled a desktop computer apart and found a baby power supply inside. It is 95watt. I thought it might be good for running a 48 in 1 inside a cocktail. It is smaller than a normal pc power supply and it outputs +5v @ 10amps. Should be more than enough. What is the current draw for a 48?

If a 2amp is working ok on NARF then your ten amp is more than enough to do the job, that would also mean that the 12v is around 2 amps allowing for the others?
what else is the psu putting out 3.3v 5v -5v 12volt?
the 95 watt is the total of the combine output.
The PSU should tell what each voltage, current drawing capacity is- remember watts = vxI (voltage x current)
