  • 48 in 1 Conversion help

I just picked up a LAI cocktail table, as most of my experiences so far are in pinball I have some questions.
    1. It has an Ghost Muncher / Uniwars setup in it, it works but the screen has suffered major burn in. Who in Sydney carries 14" monitors?
    2. The game powers up on uniwars but is just a garbled mess. It doesn't work at all on ghostmuchers. My question is what do I need to convert this to a 48 in 1? Are the original control and power supply O.K. to use?
    3. Can you convert this without hacking up the original wiring, in case I want to return it to original later.
    4. Are there different brands/quality of 48 in 1 or are they all the same?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Cheers.

    1. It has an Ghost Muncher / Uniwars setup in it, it works but the screen has suffered major burn in. Who in Sydney carries 14" monitors? Dunno. You find a 14" TV and get Jomac to make you a chassis.
    2. The game powers up on uniwars but is just a garbled mess. It doesn't work at all on ghostmuchers. My question is what do I need to convert this to a 48 in 1? Are the original control and power supply O.K. to use? You need 2 buttons and a 4 or 8 way stick to plat the 48-1 properly. You could disable the games that have 2 buttons and just run the single button games and/or the 8 way games.
    3. Can you convert this without hacking up the original wiring, in case I want to return it to original later. Yes, you need a Jamma fingerboard. someone here will have them so post a wanted ad.
    4. Are there different brands/quality of 48 in 1 or are they all the same? There were 2 different types. The original is no longer made as that company makes the 60-1. Don't lose any sleep over which one was supposedly better. They both had all the same issues and still do.

    Cheers.

    Thanks for any advice.

Thats not bad but you dont really need the degauss and coin mech.

Something like this one is better:

        http://www.arcadeparts.com.au/shop/i...Pack_(Vertical)

And one of these to go from your exsisting connector to the new JAMMA one.
