  • 1942 PCB Help Request

Hi Folks, I have a scruffy bootleg 1942 on the test bench at the moment and am at the stage where a working board would be really bloody helpful. Anyone here got a 1942 (bootleg or original probably fine) board, plus either a logic probe or a scope and about ten minutes free to check a couple of things for me?

Am pretty sure this board came from the infamous arse clown via a guy he screwed on a batch of boards, its clearly been clowned about with but have got it almost back to life.

Cool - need to see if a couple of pins are active when the game is running, am 95% sure they should be or the board design doesnt make much sense. Also where another pin connects to, on my board it goes to the edge connector and then doesnt appear the other side, so either its a weird design thing, or I have a broken track - am keen to avoid desoldering the connector and half a dozen chips to follow it through by eye.

I think he has solved this. Is there really a single layer 1942 boot?

Yeh its fixed, or it was, has died again. Got another 1942 off Borderstacey, so I know the fault is on the CPU board this time. Annoying coz it was working perfectly for a while, clearly it doesn't want rescuing.
