• Ultra Custom Cabs - Product Review page now active

Hi all,

Seeing as though Ultra Custom Cabs have disabled their facebook reviews and removed their Google Business account so that they cant be held accountable for their poor product and terrible customer service, ive created a Product Review page.

Please leave all your reviews (positive OR negative) at the below link:
**please be detailed and honest, and use evidence where necessary

https://www.productreview.com.au/lis...ra-custom-cabs

Thanks ya'll

I understand what you're doing but why not report them to relevant authorities:

BSAA
Nintendo
Sega
etc

Whether or not they are reported and investigated there still needs to be a review system in place for new customers to do their due diligence when purchasing a machine from these guys. Currently, theres only reviews that have been tailored by Ultra Custom Cabs to be positive, when the majority would be negative.

They are already putting more good reviews on their Facebook page to counter the creation of the Product Review page. Just saw one pop up now and also saw Kaizen link to the Product Review thread in the comments

If they have nothing to hide, they wouldn't be deleting any negative posts on their Facebook page, that just screams guilty. They may have improved their products these days, who knows. But if they have, they should have no problem allowing proper feedback, if their product is as good as they claim it to be.

Thought I would put it in there for people to see both positive and negative reviews.
Can't see it on the PC but still showing on the phone app.

Yeah, they advertise all their ROMS included as part of a Hyperspin setup. Not only that, they use copyrighted Williams/Stern artwork for pinballs, current stuff as well, not just old stuff. I'm really surprised that they can keep doing this and not get in legal strife. They are profiting off the IP for other people and I highly doubt they have paid for licenses for that IP. It's all well and good when you do it yourself, for no profit, but selling it, is a legal no go zone.

Who owns the rights to Williams pinball art these days? I know those IP rights are strongly protected.

Right, I will have to search back through their Facebook posts, but I am 90% sure I saw Virtual Pins with complete Addams Family sideart and maybe one with Indy? I can't quite recall, but I do remember seeing it and thinking, oooooh, that's likely not gonna fly. Most of their other art uses copyright stuff from Capcom, Marvel, DC etc. No idea on legalities of selling that stuff. I know for personal use, it would be fine. But selling it? Seems likely sketchy legal turf?

EDIT: Yeah, they definitely advertise some Bally/Williams art for pinballs as being available for their machines. I wonder if they just buy the decals from elsewhere and apply them to their own machines and that makes it so they won't get chased by the Bally/Williams police. They say that Bally Party Zone decals are available for their machines and they also have a video with T2 decals in it.

I don't think rick has the rights to enforce anything outside mechanical pinball as he licenses the use of the copyright for replacement parts and games, art on a virtual pin would be a Scientific Gaming Infringement for sure the owners of the copyrights, easy to report to them, I am sure rick will have the email contact

Does anyone really want to throw the first stone with copyright infringement in what's left of the arcade industry?
