Take a break in the Netherworld club house, pull up your socks and straighten your golf cap, it's time to play Pin-Golf.
On the weekend of October 9th & 10th, you're invited to tour the Netherworld greens across 18 holes of brisk pinball challenges. At your own pace, you'll try to achieve unique goals on each pinball machine with the aim to get under par. Each ball is an extra stroke, so achieving the goal on your first ball is a hole in 1.
Come down anytime on Saturday the 9th from 9am to 6pm to participate and qualify! The finals will be held on Sunday from 9am featuring the best dressed 16 players with the lowest stroke count.
Wear your finest golf attire to earn yourself a free drink in the Club House.
Bountiful prizes for the top 3 places, including our 2021 Netherworld pennants and a cash prize for 1st place! Each ticket comes with entry, your first drink, your scorecard and 18 Netherworld games tokens (1 per hole).
Pin Golf is an IFPA approved event.
Tickets ($30 each) can be grabbed from events.humanitix.com/nwpingolf

1. Qualifying Rounds
players will complete 18 pin-golf holes across 9 machines
the number of balls it takes for the player to reach the target/achievement score will represent the number of Pin-Strokes earned for that hole. (1st ball = Hole in 1, 2nd ball = 2, 3rd ball = 3, etc)
should a player not reach the target score within the allotted balls (par), then the par +1 pin stroke will be awarded for that hole.(3 balls = 4 strokes, 5 balls = 6 strokes)
players can play the machines in any order, but must play the Pin-holes on a particular machine in order
2. Finals Round
Top 16 players to be split into 4 groups as follows:
1, 8, 9, 16
2, 7, 10, 15
3, 6, 11, 14
4, 5, 12,13
each group to play 3 randomly chosen pin-golf holes using pin-golf scoring
highest seed chooses playing position first, second seed second etc
on subsequent games the person with the highest stroke score from the previous game chooses playing position first, then second highest stroke score etc
two players with the lowest pin-golf scores in each group advance, 3 rounds in total. 16-8-4
points do not carry over
ties for placings will be determined by a single pin-golf hole playoff
grand final will be a best of 5
3. Extra Balls
- all attempts will be made for extra balls to be disabled for all machines. Should a player earn an extra ball, they will play it as part of the same Pin-Stroke on that particular Pin-Hole
4. Rulings and Malfunctions
- all rulings and malfunctions will be based on the rules for the IFPA World Pinball Championship
