  • Lost In The 50s - Pinballs and Batmobile

    Hi All

    I've wanted to go and check out lost in the 50s (near Newcastle) https://www.lostinthe50s.com.au for a while now as I heard it was pretty good. It's advertised as 'The Greatest Personal Collection of Americana outside of the USA'.
    I was particularly keen on checking out the Batmobile and the classic cars. I also happened to stumble onto a few pins they have on display. It's worth a look if you're keen so thought i'd share some pics.

      If its the guy i think it is, he was a bouncer back in the day at fannys nightclub. He also did security for kostya tszyu. I nearly bought a house he was selling years ago. He started out as a landscaper.

      Sorry Scottie and Jeff I must be a Facebook troll.
      They are always putting stuff up there.
      Bit of a competition between it and the one on the Central Coast.
      Definitely worth a look but I haven't made it to the Central Coast one yet.
      Lot's of 2 door USA steel.
      But for some odd reason this is the one I would like.

      Looks like they let you get up close and personal to the cars there , unlike the Central Coast Museum . Can fully understand a "no touch" rule being in place but nice to get close enough to actually look inside .

      I remember seeing a Bat mobile on display at the Southland shopping center in Cheltenham Victoria when I was about 15 so 1973 is my guess. It's got to be the same car surly, I mean how many Bat mobiles would be in Australia. Good to see it survived!
