A chaotic burst of mayhem has infected the pinball wizards of the Netherworld, resulting in one morning of manic head to head competition. They call it Flip Frenzy!
Over the course of exactly 3 hours, you'll be pitted against random opponents on a large variety of pinball machines. Win or lose then move game and opponent. Expect to play a significant amount of quick games. Most wins at the end of the whirlwind competition takes the fanatical trophy, so speed is key. Registration is a must. $20 gets you entry and your first drink. Suitable for all levels of wizard skill and pinball bashing. The rules in detail will be explained on the morning, so make sure you get there at 8.30am for the rundown. Prizes for the top 3 places including a limited edition enamel pin designed by Moonshine Madness.

The first Wednesday of every month from 5pm-11pm is an IFPA registered group match play event. (Changing to Thursdays from November)
Entry is $35 (or $30 for pinball club members).  Registrations will be capped at a MAX of 32 players.
There will be prizes and trophies for the top placings and of course POINTS POINTS POINTS.
A plaque with the winner of each month will be on display.
10 machines will be available for the competition. These can vary from new Stern/JJP to the classics.  The machines will be available for practice at the prior pinball club meeting (Wednesday 7-10pm) and also during weekend lock-in sessions.
Doors open 5pm for practice and Round 1 starts at exactly 6pm (players registered by 5:50pm).  Any late arrivals can join in at the start of the next round. There will be 4 rounds which is expected to last 60-75 minutes per round.

FROM DOWNTOWN!
For October's Netherworld Arcade Club, we'll be digging into the single best and most realistic basketball games ever made - NBA JAM! We'll learn about the history of the game as well as some secrets behind mastering the gameplay.

After that, we'll be moving onto an Arcade Attack. A two hour non stop head to head arcade comp over the games in the venue. You'll be assigned a new game (Max 10 minutes) and shoot for the biggest score possible against your opponent, then report back and be assigned a new game and opponent. Repeat for 2 hours!
Arcade Club starts at 9am with a 10am Arcade Attack start. It's free to join in and everyone that takes part will get a handful of free tokens to use.
From 9am on Saturday the 9th of October.

    

Take a break in the Netherworld club house, pull up your socks and straighten your golf cap, it's time to play Pin-Golf.
On the weekend of October 9th & 10th, you're invited to tour the Netherworld greens across 18 holes of brisk pinball challenges. At your own pace, you'll try to achieve unique goals on each pinball machine with the aim to get under par. Each ball is an extra stroke, so achieving the goal on your first ball is a hole in 1.
Come down anytime on Saturday the 9th from 9am to 6pm to participate and qualify! The finals will be held on Sunday from 9am featuring the best dressed 16 players with the lowest stroke count.
Wear your finest golf attire to earn yourself a free drink in the Club House.
Bountiful prizes for the top 3 places, including our 2021 Netherworld pennants and a cash prize for 1st place! Each ticket comes with entry, your first drink, your scorecard and 18 Netherworld games tokens (1 per hole).
Pin Golf is an IFPA approved event.

4 player matchplay 3 game rounds pin-golf scoring top 2 advance from each group 16-8-4 1. Qualifying Rounds
players will complete 18 pin-golf holes across 9 machines the number of balls it takes for the player to reach the target/achievement score will represent the number of Pin-Strokes earned for that hole. (1st ball = Hole in 1, 2nd ball = 2, 3rd ball = 3, etc) should a player not reach the target score within the allotted balls (par), then the par +1 pin stroke will be awarded for that hole.(3 balls = 4 strokes, 5 balls = 6 strokes) players can play the machines in any order, but must play the Pin-holes on a particular machine in order 2. Top 16 players to be split into 4 groups as follows:
1, 8, 9, 16 2, 7, 10, 15 3, 6, 11, 14 4, 5, 12,13  
each group to play 3 randomly chosen pin-golf holes using pin-golf scoring highest seed chooses playing position first, second seed second etc on subsequent games the person with the highest stroke score from the previous game chooses playing position first, then second highest stroke score etc two players with the lowest pin-golf scores in each group advance, 3 rounds in total. 16-8-4 points do not carry over ties for placings will be determined by a single pin-golf hole playoff grand final will be a best of 5 3. Extra Balls
- all attempts will be made for extra balls to be disabled for all machines. Should a player earn an extra ball, they will play it as part of the same Pin-Stroke on that particular Pin-Hole

- all rulings and malfunctions will be based on the rules for the IFPA World Pinball Championship

You are DOOMED for a great sorcery has been cast upon the machines of the Netherworld for CURSE OF THE PINBALL NIGHTMARE! 
You must brave this terrifying day of pinball alone, taking on a series of frightfully unique pinball challenges that will test you to your core.
Over 8 horror themed machines, you’ll confront 8 different creative and weird challenges that will inhibit your senses, your co-ordination and your soul. The nature of these challenges will be revealed on arrival.
Each $20 ticket comes with your first drink, a Creature from the Black Lagoon enamel pin designed by Emetic Art and an opportunity to lift the pinball curse.
It happens from 10am on Saturday the 16th of October and tickets can be grabbed via events.humanitix.com/NWnightmare.
Ticket holders can arrive anytime before 3pm to confront the challenges and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 for the day!

Flip Frenzy Mania heads to Nambour in October!
Sunshine Coast Pinball will be hosting an insane 6-frenzy event held over 3 days on October 22nd-24th. Who dares go the distance and play all 6 frenzies!?! Play 1, 2, or all 6 events - it's up to you!
Each frenzy will be run over 3 hours, with a Top 4 Matchplay final series. Loads of IFPA WPPRs up for grabs.
Friday 22nd -
Frenzy Friday! - 7.30pm - 10.,30pm + finals
Saturday 23rd -
Frenzy Saturday! (Event 1) - 10am - 1pm + finals

Head to head 3 hour match play with finals. 
1 point per win, 2 points if score doubles your opponents.

We're going to trial running a Group Matchplay event on Tuesday 26th October at Netherworld.
6.30pm kickoff time.  We'll run as many 1 game Matchplay rounds as we can until the clock strikes 10pm.
Tickets will be available through Humanitix in the near future.  $15 entry per player.  Max. 40 players.

The format for this tournament at Amusement Worx is group matchplay.

PLEASE NOTE: This group matchplay tournament has been registered with the usual 4 rounds of 3 matches. There will be a cut-off time for starting the fourth round. If the third round is still in progress at 10.00, the fourth round will not be played and the tournament will end after the third round. The machines will then be on free-play until 10.30. This will be implemented to keep the evening from running too late.

4. We are running a group match play tournament using matchplay events.
5. There will probably be 12-14 machines in use on the night.
6. Simon is not obliged to tell players which machines will be used prior to the tournament day.
7. Players will be grouped in fours and if necessary groups of threes. There will be four separate rounds of three matches. This means every player will play twelve matches in total.
8. In each round each group will play a single game on three different machines and allocated points according to their finishing position; 7/5/3/1 for four player groups and 7/4/1 for three players groups.
9. For the first round, grouping will be based on IFPA rankings.
10. After the first round groupings will be balanced.
11. At the close of the fourth round, the player with the highest points score will be declared the tournament winner.
12. Ties will be broken automatically by comparing the strengths of opponents faced.
13. Entry fee: $25. + $1.00 for IFPA Players Fee
14. On the night players should have their IFPA # ready, to save time. Just Google IFPA and your name to get your # if you have one.
