Southern Wizards Pinball League - 1st night been and gone

• Southern Wizards Pinball League - 1st night been and gone

Hey all

The SWPL started tonight at my joint.

13 members turned up , including a new guy from The Gong who made contact with me after the article in the Illawarra Mercury the other week.

The night went pretty well - with no hiccups.

The main comp was held on my T3 machine.
We each had 2 games on the machine and the combined scores gave us our total finish points / positions for the night.
BERT ( pinofski ) had a 1st game 'fire ball' - the average type of game score on this machine with the settings I have it on ( hard ) is around 20 - 40 million, so BERT opens up with a 168 million first game

He won the night

The results for the 1st round can be seen here - Link

We also ran a ONE ball comp on the night - on Creature from the Black Lagoon - the winner was Rollerball who scored himself a T shirt from The Pacific Pinball Museum in CA.

Our players are playing for these trophies along with a $250 RTBB parts voucher, a waterfront seafood restraunt voucher, Sennheisser headphones , custom SWPL winners T shirts and other prizes.

Should be a fun year ahead - a couple of pics of the night
Rod took some video that he may upload later

You know I am in mate - but we need to discuss logistics as most of us are down to only a few machines these days.
illawarra_steelers - why the post edit? - Offer withdrawn??

No worries....
Only need a wooden board....a handful of nails...a couple of pegs and a marble to have a pin comp....

I will even toss in an extra handful of marbles for multiball...

• Vastly Improved Search Engine for AA now installed.
by Arcade King
The most frustrating thing about the vbulletin forum software is it's terrible search engine. The only advantage a forum like this has over newer here and gone social media is a forum is basically an archive of information but it's only as good as the search function. As it stands you can't even type in simple things like RGB or Neo Geo and get a result, very frustrating as I'm sure anybody whose tried to search on this site knows. I did some research and heard great things about the Sphinx ...

• AA stubbie holders and coasters
by kimbleseven
Hi guys. Aussie arcade is a great resource but relies on donations to keep the cogs turning. I got some Aussie made stubbie coolers made up which are good quality. Also got some cheap coasters made up with AA logo and image on them. I am going to try and raise some money for Aussie Arcade. I'm not profiting from this at all with all profit going to Aussie Arcade. Each AA pack includes 2 coasters and 2 stubbie coolers. Cost is $15 plus postage. Happy to drop off to Adelaide members but interst...
