Looks likes its based on the old Kempston Competition Pro - the BEST joystick back in the early 80's... For home computer that is.

I think you can get it from Target for around $40 as well. Might be even cheaper if they have their 15% off sale on.

I've seen the pages on these hacks. Very cool. Wouldn't want to have to do the soldering for the interfaces myself though.

Yeah, basically it is a C64 on a chip.

Yeah i've seen these at target too.. was tempted to buy one then i remembered i have a c64 with a million games :)

Although the plug and play aspect of it would be nice, rather then having to wait an hour for games to load.

Cybernoid
Cybernoid II
Impossible Mission,
Impossible Mission II
Paradroid
Summer Games
Winter Games

These are all awesome games, worth it just for them.

I came very close to buying the Target version (slightly different to the one above I'm pretty sure). But the games list didn't include any of the titles I used to play, so I didn't bother.

I'm pretty sure thinkgeek used to have a massive range of these things, but I can't find them there any more. A mate of mine holidaying in the states recently found a store full of these things for various consoles and arcade titles, and ended up buying a suitcase full to bring back with him.

Buggy Boy is awesome! Definately the best game of it's type. Can't think of another racer that compares.

If you want to mod the C64DTV you can add a keyboard
and also hook up a 1541 diskdrive to it.........Look here

I think they purposfully make it that easy to encourage people to buy it and have a go. They did the same with the atari flashback system.

That site is down. I saw this the other day in Target, and thought "WTF is the point of that". But if you can hook a keyboard and 1541 drive to it, I am in. I went back to the farm where I grew up and had a shitload of stuff in storage for over 10 years. Tried to find my C64 (for the monitor), but could only find the 1541....hmmm....

The worst I played was Super Hang on, or it may have been Hang on, on the C64
